If you have cheek filler, how many mls do you have in each cheek?

Toying with the idea of cheek filler. If you have it done, how much do you have in each cheek? Also, how much roughly do you pay? If I needed 1ml in each cheek, would the cost be for two vials or is the second one a bit cheaper because I’m already paying for the doctor’s/nurses time?
A friend had 0.5ml in each cheek and I honestly can’t tell the difference and I’m a lot slimmer than her. This makes me think I would need at least 1ml in each cheek but the price may make this untenable.
I know I need to book a consultation to find out prices etc. but if I’m going to be looking at £7-800 I don’t want to waste their time.

I have 0.5ml in each cheek. Made a visible difference but think I need more because it's not made as much of a difference to my naso-labial folds as I wanted.

Cost was £200 by a nurse practitioner.

£200 for 1ml vial - wow that’s a really good price. The sites I’ve been looking at are averaging between 3-400 for 1ml.
You’re not in Greater Manchester area by any chance Grin
Which brand is this? A friend told me to get Juvederm Voluma. Is that what you have please?

I am in Greater Manchester! I'll PM you! I can't remember the brand but think it was Restylane which apparently breaks down a little bit more quickly.

JMAngel1 · 13/12/2020 17:26

Wow that was a stroke of luck! Yes please to the DM with details. Thanks very much.

If you’re going with Voluma, start with 0.5ml in each cheek for your first time.

You’ll definitely see a difference. Voluma takes a few weeks to show the full result.

I pay £395 for 1ml of Voluma.

How long do cheek fillers tend to last?

Hi, please can you PM me the clinic you use in Greater Manchester. I want to get filler and botox but I don't know which clinic to choose, I'd rather go somewhere recommended.
Delatron · 13/12/2020 20:02

I think cheek filler is supposed to last at least a year. So cost wise it works out ok as much longer lasting than Botox.

My lady said she’d underfill me so I think I just had 0.5mls. You may need more though.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 13/12/2020 20:18

Can i ask a really stupid question? What does it correct?

Delatron · 13/12/2020 21:00

They help with loss of volume in the face and kind of plumps out fine lines.

Zampa · 13/12/2020 21:11

Yes, my cheek filler was to reduce my naso labial folds and bolster the reduced volume in my cheeks.

JMAngel1 · 13/12/2020 21:50

That’s exactly what I need it for.

For those who have cheek fillers, where do they place them? Along the cheekbone to outer part of the face? I had cheek hollowing a bit under my eyes but fillers have made the middle of my face look a bit puffy.

RebeccaRaspberry · 13/12/2020 23:31

Just bear in mind that 1ml is a 1/5 of a teaspoon. A small amount. Your cheeks are large ... they need quite a bit to really make a difference and this is why people can get a pillow face look - it's hard to strike that balance between lifted jowls ( which is really what you want filler in the cheek to do) and an overfilled blousy look.

Delatron · 14/12/2020 08:17

I think it is hard to get that balance. Mine were mainly at the top of my cheeks to go in to the hollows under my eyes. More tear trough but there’s a slight volume increase to cheeks. I’ve not had enough to lift my jowls and I don’t think I’d be happy with any more volume in the cheek area.

I’ll have to find some other way to target jowls. Though I did read a bit of filler in the temple can lift this area slightly and that doesn’t risk puffy look.
