I have also put my old stove (i replaced it in Jan) - but it is a catalogue picture - it's much more the size for your opening

trixyortreatmalixy · 22/10/2007 19:19

it's called a hob grate.

We got ours on ebay, where they quite often come up for sale cheaper than from a dealer.

what about these

chocolateteapot · 22/10/2007 19:24

Maybe I am just rubbish at doing open fires but there was absolutely no comparison between the heat generated by the open fire we had and the stove we have now. The open fire looked nice but did practically nothing to heat the room but the stove makes it lovely and hot.

they look fine - i think georgian hob grate is what i am aftr
