Do Sweaty Betty Leggings loosen over time?

I've bought a couple of pairs of SB leggings - as recommended on here - I had to go for XS as the S was sold out.
They are lush, but they are quite tight, I was wondering, do they loosen up after a couple of wears/washes or do I need to send them back?

Mine seem to hold shape well.

TinkersRucksack · 08/12/2020 13:27

No. They're like wearing a trampoline.

starsinyourpies · 08/12/2020 13:28

No they hold shape well.

They loosen a bit but in a good way. I got a new pair this week - of my normal size. And when I first put them on I thought they wouldn't fit. But there is enough give. And now they seem fine. Old ones are not baggy even after a million wears and washes.

I ordered some in S and XS. The S were too big. I wore the XS ones just around the house for a few hours and found them too tight. I think the beauty of them is they don't stretch out of shape. I sent both back. Might be worth trying different styles though as the size S in Zero Gravity leggings fits a treat - smaller than the S in Power leggings.

So what size would you buy for a 12 or a 14

TheHoundsofLove · 08/12/2020 13:47

I do find that even in the correct size, they’re a more supportive fit than other leggings I own - almost like compression leggings. They could of course be too small, but maybe you just need to get used to the fit? I‘m a size 10 and wear the small Anordinarymum so I’d say go for a medium.

ToastCosILoveIt · 08/12/2020 13:53

@Anordinarymum, I am a 12 but have been a 14 and the medium in Sweaty Betty is fine for both sizes.

starsinyourpies · 08/12/2020 14:25

Agree with M for 12-14

jerometheturnipking · 08/12/2020 15:21

Yeah definitely an M. I'm a tall 10-12 and I could get away with a small but the M is more comfortable. I guess it would depend on where you carry your weight.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 08/12/2020 15:25

@Anordinarymum M in the yoga ones, L in the zero gravity or power leggings

Annasgirl · 08/12/2020 15:30

Thanks all - I've just gone and bought more after reading this thread Blush, but I love the one pair I have and I plan to wear only leggings outfits for Winter so I should get the "cost per wear" down!!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 08/12/2020 16:08

My experience is they last and have good cost for wear (and my thighs like to hug so they get a lot of wear!)
