Where do I buy a nice Christmas dress?

I'm 30, I had a baby a couple of years ago and I put on a huge amount of weight I've managed to lose a lot of it and I'm now a size 12 which is okay at the moment, I'm 5ft 9. I have a small waist and hour glass shape. I'd love a really nice dress for Christmas. I live in mom jeans, boots and jumpers and I want to look lovely. I always used to wear very tight dresses haha and I know my DH loves when I wear a dress and tights. We are having a very quiet Christmas just us and my son and I want him to think wow!

My question is... Which shops would be good for a Christmas dress? I find asos just too huge to scroll through.

Budget... About £100 max.

I just feel like I've lost a lot of confidence with this type of shopping.

Try Romans or Laura Ashley.

I’ve never bought anything from this website so I have no idea about quality , but they do have a Christmas dress section

Good find thank you! I think I would suit something like this (attached) I'd want a soft material as sequins wouldn't be nice for my son to lie against

I saw quite a few nice dresses on Hush recently. I quite like this one but have zero reason to buy it!

Sosandar clothes are always a bit disappointing. The fabric and finishing just isn't quite there... I wish they'd put some Lycra in their materials too, just 3% 'give' in the clothes would make them so much more flattering.

I went into monsoon the other day and they had some great Christmas dresses (flashy, but not ridiculous to wear at home - embroided ones were lovely) in your budget. Boden have some nice plain velvet ones too. Hush is worth a try too

French connection if you want something more Partyish (for the wow factor you are looking for).

I worked in accessorise and monsoon for years, I sold all the dresses they made me buy haha. I actually think it's poor quality.ill checkout other suggestions! Thanks

I'm older than you but I like some of the velvet dresses in Seasalt at the moment.
