Cellulite

I have dense cellulite on my thighs (front & back) and bottom. I’m not overweight but I have a lot of fat on my thighs & bum which I don’t necessarily want to lose too much of (gives me a nice shape) but janey, the cellulite is bad!

I have a dry body brush which I’ve started using nightly. Any other (not too high maintenance) ideas or recommendations? Thanks.

You need to walk walk walk.... and exercise.

Dry body brush as well and tons of water.

Mine has completely gone after doing the above and losing 8lbs!

Running has got rid of a majority of my cellulite.

Separatedandabitsad · 05/12/2020 13:02

Thanks to you both. Ahhhhhh exercise is the answer 🙈....okay fair enough. I’ll admit I’ve never been a big exerciser - I do walk but not daily. This has given me more motivation to lob on the runners!

You need to do the brushing a minimum of 3 months religiously.

Splodgetastic · 05/12/2020 16:17

I am not overweight and I exercise daily (walk about eight miles a day and work out properly five times a week involving solely the lower body) but I have awful cellulite. I don’t know whether it’s as I hurtle towards the menopause!

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/12/2020 16:40

@Splodgetastic well we do lose skin tone but honestly the brushing works wonders. It took mine 3 months to work & I'm very slim.

@Separatedandabitsad I just think getting your body moving... steps etc, is all going to flush any toxins and get everything moving.

I have had cellulite since I was 17. I’m now 35 and it’s finally gone!

Combination of jogging, water and body brushing. Also eating more protein, less fat/sugar. Mine improved in about 3 weeks of cutting down sugar and NHS Couch to 5k.

Careful not too brush to vigorously as it can cause spider veins.

Heavy lifting of weights is the best proven way to remove it.

Thanks a lot for the responses. I’ve never been a gym bunny or a weightlifter but it’s interesting that that helps. I’ll stick with the body brushing & increase my activity levels (I need to walk more anyway for health reasons).

I run a lot and still have cellulite, although not really visible normally but if I press on my thigh, it's a bit lumpy. They are toning up gradually.

I would say strength work would probably be your best bet? Squats etc.

Separatedandabitsad · 06/12/2020 09:10

Thanks. I’ve always just had flabbier thighs. I’m pear shaped. But the cellulite is fairly bad ... (& no squeezing required Grin)

I do squats & lunges but it’s the cardio I need to increase. Cardio for me is a brisk walk!

I exercise daily and eat zero sugar but mine is still visible !:( need to drink more water and do body brushing - jealous that some said their cellulite disappeared! Really wish mine would go - any other tips people please share Smile

Separatedandabitsad · 06/12/2020 11:10

Yeah I can’t imagine mine disappearing but I go eat sugar & I do drink alcohol & I could certainly exercise more!

There are all kinds of creams on the market but something tells me there’s no wonder cream for cellulite!
