Need a wardrobe revamp - where to shop?

Hit me up with your advice please stylish ladies.

I've never invested in my wardrobe really, I've just had other priorities - saving for a house, then wedding, then a baby, new house, baby etc Blush

Most of my casual stuff is jeans, cheap t shirts, hoodies, a few nice dresses. A lot of it dates from university and the few years following (I'm 33 now Blush).

My work stuff was mostly Tesco/m&s when I got my first job after uni. It's most definitely seen better days and is not smart enough for my job really.

I have a bit of a 'uniform' - jeans, t shirt, hoodie for casual, or skater dress, cardigan, tights, ballet flat for work.

I NEED a wardrobe revamp and plan to do so when I return to work and stop breastfeeding - around may.

I'm 33, 5"6 and one of those fairly pale people that needs factor 50 as soon as the sun peeps.
I've kind of neglected my appearance generally although started having decent hair appointments pre covid which I will get back to...
I'm a size 10ish, although carrying a few extra kg post second baby which I'm going to get rid of between now and march/April.

Help me please!

Where should I shop? I quite like some Hobbs dresses, so thinking there for some work dresses maybe. I tend to like Dorothy Perkins for dresses.
I'm not afraid of a bit of a pattern - I have previously frequented Joe browns, mantaray and similar. Although I fall I to a rut of black, black and more black at work.

I need to look nice again and feel good about my appearance. Please give me your tips to look a nice 33 instead of washed out, drab and boring??!

Also - what's a decent moisturiser for my face? Caught sight of my appearance the other day and thought 'bloody hell - what's happened??!'

With SPF. Skin is more dry than anything, never really had spots. Foundation makes me look flakey.
