Is Revitalift SPF 30 OK to use after r-Retinoate?

Hello - I've been reading through the skincare threads and they're brilliant - but up much to take in and I'm not sure about this bit.
I splashed out on some Medik8 r-Retinoate "youth activating cream" in the Black Friday sale. My skin tends to be sensitive so, based on the threads and a friend's recommendation, this looks like it should do the job. I know I need to use sunscreen , and I have [https://www.boots.com/loreal-paris-revitalift-day-cream-spf30-50ml-10156919?CAWELAID=620000410000269182&cm_mmc=bmm-buk-bing-ppc--PLAs--(GB:Whoop!)+L%27Oreal-_-(GB:Whoop%21)+Boots+Shopping+-+Category+-+Beauty+-+Tablet&msclkid=1bd00ef969711f999905513aa7cdd1cc&gclid=1bd00ef969711f999905513aa7cdd1cc&gclsrc=3p.ds L'Oréal Revitalift SPF 30 day cream] which seems to suit my skin. However, it's described as a "day cream" and has pro-retinol and other stuff in it. Just wanted to check if this would be OK or if it's not as good as a dedicated sunscreen.

I'm late 40s and have pretty good skin for my age I hope.

Would be grateful for guidance from those of you who have got a grip on this subject. I've paid no attention to my skin for years beyond Simple moisturisers and sunscreen.
