Has anyone got rid of wrinkles on décolletage??

Tryingtokeepsafe · 29/11/2020 08:40

I’m not even 40. I’m a side sleeper and have spent years trying to sleep on my back but always end up on my side. They are quite deep but go down through the day. Can I help these not become worse?? Can I do anything to stop them??

I am in my 50's now but started to notice these a couple of decades ago.

I have pretty much stopped them in their tracks by moisturizing lots and using high block suncream. They haven't really gone any worse since then. If you are a side sleeper, try wearing a sleep bra and propping your upper arm on a pillow.

Other than that, there isn't much else you can do I think

WaltzingBetty · 29/11/2020 08:55

I really noticed mine in my late 30s
I started wearing soft crop top bras in bed and they've made a big difference

GoldfishParade · 29/11/2020 08:56

OMG I was going to post about this!!!! I'm only 33 and mine are really bad.

I also have another issue in this area which is spider nevus: basically very tiny red pinprick marks which are basically mino burst blood vessels. My GP said she thought this was a result of the pill Sad

I wonder if deep moisturising would be enough to get rid of these chest wrinkles or not?

Dozer · 29/11/2020 08:58

Moisturise.

I bought a posh retinol moisturiser for my face (Beauty Pie) but preferred their ordinary moisturiser. So didn’t use the retinol one much for many months and it smelled a little weird, so to use it up used it on my neck/cleavage at random times and THINK could see a noticeable difference.

Tryingtokeepsafe · 29/11/2020 09:03

I moisturise every day without fail, alway have sunblock on as I burn easily. Any specific type of crop top?? I don’t have big boobs or anything though?

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 29/11/2020 09:56

I don't have big boobs either but if you sleep on your side the added weight creases your chest area

AnyFucker · 29/11/2020 10:01

I wear similar to these

Asda do a good cheaper version too

JMAngel1 · 29/11/2020 10:14

Sleep on back in. soft sleep bra
Prai neck and decollete cream
SPF

GaraMedouar · 29/11/2020 10:23

I can’t remember where I saw the advice many many years ago (I think it was from a French lady) but whatever you do to your face, do the same with your neck and décolletage. So if I put moisturiser cream on my face, I also go down to my neck and chest. I’ve also used spf for years , again on my face, neck and décolletage. I think that has helped.

I am starting to notice this too. I want to get a boob support pillow. It's a sausage shaped padded pillow that goes between the breasts to stop the top one from laying on top of the bottom one and getting that deep line. So far I've only found quite expensive ones so the search continues!

AcornAutumn · 29/11/2020 11:07

I used these a few years ago, only before going on holiday once

They’re expensive

They work in the sense of looking perfectly smooth the next morning but now I just cover that area.

You could make that out of a towel. Sounds uncomfortable though!
GoldfishParade · 29/11/2020 12:51

@AcornAutumn I'm soooooo tempted! Is the point that its temporary though? Like those patches dont aim to erase them, just temporarily smooth them away?

AcornAutumn · 29/11/2020 12:53

Yes

But what I found was that effect lasts all day, because the side sleeping wrinkles don’t form in the first place.

But if you’ve already got permanent ones, I don’t know how it will help.

Some I thought were permanent vanished with this though.

GoldfishParade · 29/11/2020 12:55

That's interesting. In fairness though I am totally neglectful with the skin there, I just slap on some dove after a shower but only when I can be bothered which isnt very often. Going to experiment with a month of treating it like my face and see what happens

Tryingtokeepsafe · 29/11/2020 20:41

Boob pillow Grin love that. I sleep badly so don’t want anything uncomfortable to make it worse. The wrinkles so far are ok later on in the day.. but awful in the mornings. I do put cream from face downwards morning and night but perhaps not the right cream.... I’ve seen those pad things....

They’re more like temporary creases, hence they disappear later in the day.
Tryingtokeepsafe · 29/11/2020 21:04

Yea temporary but it’s only later in the day they aren’t there though so I have to go through most of the day (trying to cover them up) to get to when they look ok and then it is repeat, go to sleep, wake up to wrinkles... I will try one of those crop top things I guess.

Sorry if being thick

how will a crop top help?

GoldfishParade · 29/11/2020 21:34

@AnyFucker
Well I'm lying in bed now in a sports bra but my boobs are still making a line. And I have small boobs

Tryingtokeepsafe · 29/11/2020 21:38

Hmm maybe that won’t help me then!!

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 29/11/2020 22:05

It's not a miracle cure Grin

upsidedownroundabout · 29/11/2020 22:11

Something with retinol in should help. Proper ingredient clinically proven to reduce wrinkles. The ordinary do some cheap ones and then I'd follow it up with a very thick collagen boosting moisturiser.

Basically though nothing will help if you're a side sleeper and half your life is spent in a position that creates them! Mine got so bad in pregnancy but are a bit better now I can sleep on my front again. Of course that gives me back and neck pain so 🤪 I would personally check out the pillow someone suggested as you need something that literally stops them forming

GoldfishParade · 29/11/2020 22:23

I just dont understand people who sleep on their backs. Sleeping on the side is so much cosier and snuggly and protected feeling!

Tryingtokeepsafe · 30/11/2020 16:47

Yeah I can not sleep on my back at all. I feel all vulnerable and exposed Grin I used to sleep on my front but pregnancies got me out of that habit and it also hurts my neck in the morning! I don’t seem to move much in my sleep which doesn’t help! What classes as a collagen boosting cream @upsidedownroundabout?
