Help me choose a handbag please. Some people say the leather frays a bit on the edge any experience? It's a lot of money to spend on a bag that may show wear and tear after once use.

One is a clutch without chain but leather wristlet and the other is a wallet on chain. The clutch is slightly bigger but no zips pockets inside whereas the wallet on chain has a zip pocket inside.
I want it for formal events and I usually wear nude shoes but my friend and the sales assistant said black is more versatile. The black is also available with a chain.

I haven't seen this shade of nude yet only in black as our store doesn't hold a great selection of ysl but if I don't like the nude I can send it back which is good I probably won't use the chain that much but the option is there. I was talking myself into the wristlet as it was a bit cheaper but I know I'd still long for the wallet on chain.
I'm definitely eyeing up mulberry as my next bag for day to day use. My babies changing bag is my current handbag at the moment 🤣

I've got the Lou Lou in black and in nude - both sublime and will last forever if taken care of properly.

Id have gone nude bag too - when you are spending that much, you should buy the bag you want, not the one you think will be the most practical.

I'd go for black with the chain. You might be using this bag for decades to come, and black is never going to go out of fashion. Any scuffs or marks will be less noticeable too.

Not really happy with this thread. Everyone has been supportive and not one person told you a designer bag is a waste of money.

I’d go for the black. I have a pale pink YSL and my jeans rub off on it if I’m not super careful. Don’t have to worry about that with the black and also has the chain so will probably get more use.
