Hush Amie joggers... am I going to look mutton?!

I really fancy these but I am ancient nearly 50.

Do I listen to the little voice in my head that says I'll look ridiculous? Or should I just bloody get them and wear them? Grin

I’m your age and I love them!

Hayeahnobut · 20/11/2020 18:27

Not sure about a Black Friday code but they definitely did a 20% code before Christmas last year. Maybe they've done so well this year they don't need to generate sales!

I have a pair of the navy and black and whilst they are very comfortable they are very thin. The quality is dreadful for the price, they're so thin and the zip came off both pairs within a few weeks of buying them. (Lockdown had just started and I couldn't be bothered to send them back!)

I also have the harem pants and all three have faded so much I'm going to have dye them as they look dreadful, and that's despite using a colour specific washing powder! I would never spend that money on them again.

Randomly, I bought a great pair of black cuffed joggers from Asda of all places a few weeks back after I ran in for something else and they are surprisingly great quality! I think they cost about £10-15 and compared to the £50 ish the hush Amie joggers cost they are far better. They're thicker material and better for the cooler weather.

I'd save your money and buy better quality elsewhere!

I’m wearing mine now. I’m 67. Crack on.

HiHoHiHoBackToSchoolWeGo · 20/11/2020 19:25

I should also say that I'm late 30s and wear mine and couldn't give a shit about age etc.

Wear them if you like them, but I would buy alternatives re: quality issues 😉

Stokey · 20/11/2020 19:43

I thought I had these but mine don't have zips so just be an earlier iteration. I love them and am wearing them now, also mid-40s, they're very soft. I do normally just wear them when I'm going for walks or hanging out at home rather than anything smart.

I saw these ones which are quite similar and were getting a lot of love on insta.

PolarBearStrength · 20/11/2020 19:48

They’re lovely and tbh I don’t know that many younger people who can afford to drop fifty-odd quid on a pair of joggers so have always assumed the target market for Hush was more middle aged.

borntobequiet · 20/11/2020 19:53

I got something similar a couple of years ago in Asda, but I’m cheap. I’m also late sixties. I don’t see what you’re bothered about.

MooMinCow · 20/11/2020 19:54

See I’ve never had any quality issues with my pairs... wash and wear really well, no shrinkage. But mine are a couple of years old so maybe manufacturer has changed?

VinylDetective · 20/11/2020 19:55

I’ve never seen a cheap pair with ankle zips and they’re one of my favourite things in the Hush ones.

I totally agree with Leavemydamnjam. What on earth does age have to do with it. If you like something you wear it.

laudemio · 20/11/2020 20:08

My 70 year old mil has them, tbh I thought they were from Sainsburys!
