Hairdryers- do they make a difference?

I’ve got very long frizzy hair. When I don’t have much time I just dry the roots and tie into a bun. Thing is, it always goes frizzy around my ears. I’m about to have a baby so don’t imagine I will be up for any kind of styling anytime soon! Would a decent hairdryer make a difference to the frizzy or should I save my money? I would spend up to £100 for something decent- so dysons are definitely out!

Anyone have a really good hairdryer or are they all pretty much the same?

Yes, I think it's definitely worth investing.

I have a Parlux and really like it. It's not a miracle worker, but my hair is naturally very wavy and a bit fluffy/frizzy and it definitely helps smooth and also (at the risk of sounding like an advert) reduces drying time too, as does adding an oil, like argan or Moroccan? Think they may be the same thing 🤔

It's one of those things you sometimes forget how good it actually is until you go to a hotel, forget yours and end up having to use their tiiiny toy like ones Confused

Ooh thanks... I’m off to google Parlux

Would you think about letting it go curly if it's frizzy? It's way less maintenance.

I find ghd hair straighteners better at tackling any frizz. I wash my hair in an evening shower and leave it to into the evening and overnight. Quick flick over with the ghds in the morning.

Love love love my Dyson (present)

Wash/dry in the evening

Straighten in morning with GHD

Not a girly girl, but people comment on my hair 🙂

It really looks awful curly. I have had 30 years of trying different cuts, products etc but nothing works. When I want it to look nice I dry and straighten with GHDs. I just want an effective, quick hairdryer to smooth it out when I want to just quickly shower and put it up half wet in the morning.

I've had a parlux for £100. My babyliss one from a hair dresser wholesaler was £24 and more powerful

I have this one. It's the best I've ever used. I have fairly long, thick and frizz prone hair and I can rough dry things n less than 10 minutes. It's not too heavy either.

I have a Parlux and a Dyson. The Dyson is fab but not worth 4x the cost of a Parlux.

A decent hair dryer makes a difference but you really need to blow dry all over I think, even with a mid range hairdryer, rather than just blow drying the roots
