Help me avoid buying dd(12) a boring, practical, mumsy bag

DD needs a bag with secure pockets for her phone, travelcard, mask, house keys etc on her way to school. Her old one is falling apart and I’d like to get her a new one, but I’m having trouble finding anything that’s the right size (just enough room for phone plus key bits), has a nice wide strap (she hates the feel of thin ones under her heavy backpack) and doesn’t appeal to me as a sensible, middle-aged woman with no fashion sense.

I’ve looked at Zara, Fatface and ebay - any ideas where else to look? She’s not trendy, more on the happily geeky side, but I don’t want to get her something that’s way out of what any other tween would have.

Thanks! I’ve got lots of options now - I’d never have thought of Urban Outfitters, Zalando or Pretty Little Thing, and those are just the sort of thing I need. Though I’m tempted just to go with the reflective H&M one because it’ll be so handy to know she’s nicely reflective on winter evenings.

Roka. I've got two and they are great!

How about this stylish little shoulder phone bag (if it's not too late?!). My teen girls love these 🙂

Defo a fjallraven backpack. Come in loads or gorgeous colours and very practical. The perfect geek bag!

Expensive but you can often get out of season colours cheaper x
