Babylis Big Hair broken- replace or something else for glossy waves?

The BBH has been my go-to bit of kit when I need to look polished and/or glam but after 10+ years is definitely on it's way out (rotating brush keeps randomly slowing/stopping)

My hair is often decided as a mane: long, VERY thick, fairly in coarse texture and prone to frizz. I have straighteners and use them sometimes as they are quicker (I have a LOT of hair) and they do have the same smoothing affect but I prefer a bit more body and movement that you get with the BBH.

Any new gadget recommendations or stick with a BBH?

I am a fan of the big hair but got a dyson airwrap at the start of lockdown. With practice the round brush gives the same effect. I know it's more £££ but I never found the big hair to last v long.

@MrsPatrickDempsey would love one but waaay out of my budget unfortunately. Very envious as I've no doubt I'd love it!

Try the revlon one step - also has a rotating brush, I found better than the big hair. Abs on had a desk -£35

If your BBH has stopped rotating as opposed to any other problems, you may well be able to fix it.

Mine stopped rotating as there was hair wrapped around the barrel, so I followed a Youtube video and managed to fix it, pretty simple to do and obviously saved me having to pay for a replacement.

@AlannaOfTrebond oh wow never he thought of that will definitely give it a go before buying anything new.
