Looking for some stocking fillers for my adult daughters, I usually pick stuff up while shopping but looks like I'll have to order online. I could do with being free postage so probably looking at ebay, has anyone seen anything new?

Hi OP great idea for a thread so I'm watching with interest.

This falls slightly out of your criteria but may be worth keeping an eye our for. The last couple of Black Fridays Birchbox have done an offer for new customers (hence fancying around setting up new email addresses every year!) of x 2 of its previous boxes, for £8 delivered. You have to set up a subscription but I just cancelled it the following day so wasn't tied in. Downside is you won't know what's in them (it's generally been a mix of make up, sheet masks, a hair and skin product with at least one full size item) however if they enjoy beauty bits and trying new things it's good. Plus you get x 2 different boxes so you could open them and tweak slightly for each daughter. The boxers themselves are always gorgeous, cardboard "drawer" type things that sit nicely in a wardrobe or dressing table drawer after. I can't bear to chuck them they're so pretty Grin

Yes I'll definately look out for those, my girl are 20 and 23, so getting more discerning as they get older, I've suggested not doing stockings but they are aghast at the thought. One doesn't even live at home. Things that always go in are new razor and shave cream, new tan mit, hair bobbles, chocolate coins (even though they don't like them) fluffy socks.

That all sounds lovely, it's funny how they still love the tradition isn't it? Mines 12 and I've done a DIY advent since she was little and now her contents are very similar to what you've listed. I suggested this week that she might be a bit old for it. The look on her face was as if I'd suggested kicking kittens Grin

Also, keeping an eye on next year, sites like Look Fantastic and Feel Unique often have good post Christmas sales, I've picked up a few decent branded gift sets before at great prices and then split the contents over a few people.

Hope you get some nice things. Oh, maybe one of those Hotel Chocolate blocks they do as well?

Graffitiqueen · 13/11/2020 10:29

could you buy a beauty advent calendar and split that? If you wait until december some of them will be reduced.

PreTishBerson · 13/11/2020 10:41

Mini lindt instead of coins?
I know caroline herrons isnt a fan but i like garnier moisture bomb sheet.
I also like o keefes or any unscented lip balm. Norwegian is good or burts bees.
Coconut oil jar
Rosemary essential oil if they have a diffuser
Fancy soap bars

Imtoooldforallthis · 13/11/2020 11:30

Advent calenders is another thread entirely, I'm trying to find them one I'm hoping that if I wait I will find a couple reduced down. I haven't seen any good ones this year.

Ooh I think boots have an offer on benefit minis - they could be good!

JMAngel1 · 13/11/2020 17:38

Check out Revolution in Superdrug. Loads of MAC dupes.

PerspicaciaTick · 13/11/2020 17:55

DD loves Kiko ... so I've stocked up on nail varnishes and other bits for a couple of quid each.

Bananaman123 · 13/11/2020 21:02

check out the sample kits on feel unique (good youtube vids on them), what about a one off beauty box such as look fantastic, glossybox, roccabox, birch box?

justleavemebe · 13/11/2020 21:05

I would say tk maxx but they are closed. Altho from next week are doing click and collect.

PercyPiglet1 · 13/11/2020 21:19

Tesco have got loads of Christmassy toiletries - the little tins of valentine lip balms in different flavours are lovely and last ages.

EvaporatedHour · 13/11/2020 22:00

My daughters like Revolution make up; some of the items they sell are around £5

DesperatelySeekingSunshine · 14/11/2020 14:23

More expensive... but could you split this

I buy one every year in the sale (not that it’s any help to you) for around £20.
But you could have the full size mascara, then DDs could have the minis.

Minky37 · 14/11/2020 14:31

I was going to say revolution make up the concealer and some smaller pallets will be £5, also some fancier french bars of soap are lovely and about £2/3.

Minky37 · 14/11/2020 14:31

also some fancier french bars of soap are lovely and about £2/3. should have added from TK Maxx

Imtoooldforallthis · 14/11/2020 15:07

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think I'll have to go round the supermarkets and have a look. I usually like to get stuff they've never seen before, in previous years I've had stuff off ebay like unusual beauty product, some Korean stuff etc. They spend so much time on Instagram they have seen everything. I seem to be struggling this year.
