hair treatments - is Philip Kingsley Elasticizer the best that there is?

Received a deluxe sample tube of this in an M&S beauty box a couple of years ago. It has sat in the bathroom until yesterday evening, when I gave it a try. Wet hair, put in on, covered with a shower cap, washed it out and then washed my hair.

OMG. This morning, my hair is so soft, bouncy and smooth.

I have between jaw and chin length, kinky, fine, dry and fragile hair. Its now got more of a proper wave than kinky patches, tooks thicker and feels less dry.

I am wondering if I should have been using hair treatments all along. Is the Elasticizer the best that there is (its quite pricey to buy) or is there a good alternative for me?

I bought this Kingsley Elasticizer. It’s half price and is lasting ages!!

Argh doesn’t link to product. There are 1000ml bottles of the elasticizer here for £49 - half price.

Did absolutely nothing for me when I tried it at vast full-price expense a few years ago. In fact had it on my list of 'rubbish things I bought because of Mumsnet'!

Elasticizer doesn’t work for me - Olaplex works miracles on my highlighted very thick hair, as does Christophe Robin prickly pear mask.
