Facial mole removal

Has anyone had a mole on their face removed privately? I have one on the side about half way between my nose and my lip, which I swear is getting bigger in the last couple of years! Do they get bigger with age?

I'd like it removed, but not if it's going to leave a really noticeable scar/hole. I would go privately.

they tend to get bigger with age.

a good cosmetic suregon/dermatologist can remove it without much scarring. but healing takes some time and you absolutely must avoid uv light for a while.

I had a couple of small ones near my eye removed about 10 years ago, so can't really comment on price, but the most expensive bit was the histology, that alone was over 500£. (private insurance paid).no visible scars.

Thanks. In terms of the UV light did you have to put sunblock on every day?

I've searched a few very old threads on here and the price seems to be around that, assuming a bit more now!

I had one removed many years ago between my nose and mouth, slightly to the side of my face. There is a tiny scar. I'm sure I'm the only one that notices it. Surgeon was very good and was able to hide the scar in my smile line.

yes, sunblock for a while. after the initial steristrip was removed I used steristrips to protect in from light until it was healed enough and I could use normal skincare products.
