Wet weather protection for hair

I have thick, slightly wavy hair. At the slightest whiff of damp weather it becomes frizzy if I haven’t straightened it. I am trying to reduce my use of straighteners as I have grey hair and it tends to yellow with heat styling. It is too short at present to tie it up.
Has anyone found any brilliant products which could help me tame the frizz on wet days?

Wow dreamcoat, my hairdresser used on it on my hair before I went on a hen do in Ibiza, kept my usually frizzy hair frizz free despite the humidity! You only need a little bit and it lasts up to 3 washes. You do need to blow dry it when you use it to "activate" it though.

Big bottle for £25: www.marksandspencer.com/dream-coat-supernatural-sealant-200ml/p/hbp60144581?color=NOCOLOUR

Smaller size for £12.50:

So the best thing for this is some sort of serum or oil to seal the cuticle so moisture can’t get in

BUT the absolute most effective thing is a physical barrier, so a hood or scarf is perfect. Ideally one of those grandma waterproof hood hat things, they work well.

You’ll look ridiculous but it’s honestly the best solution

I was surprised at how under control basic Elnett hairspray has been keeping my hair in damp weather

I've tried an awful lot of products but the 2 I've returned to are Colour WOW Dreamcoat and Sebastian Professional Re-shaper hairspray.

Brilliant, thanks for your recommendations.

I agree with TableNiner. A quick spray of Elnett really helps.
