Style gurus - sort out a wardrobe for a fat ankled short arse please.

Just been reading the capsule wardrobe and feeling fed up.Here's why?
fat ankles = no riding boots
fat hips = no little dresses
very little gap between waist and chest = no big fat belts to cinch in waist
shortish

So please if you can, give me some excellent ideas how to look marvellous.

Since when did fat ankles mean no riding boots? I would have thought any boots would be fine for you. Try to be positive.

riding boots fine
dresses fine if A line skirts
medium belts better than wide belts
what are your shoulders, boobs and waist like and what are your best features?

puffling · 13/10/2007 21:27

Hi the moon,I'm fairly positive, but I promise, boots don't go up my legs and if they did, it wouldn't be a lovely sight. I'm just interested in some ideas for things to wear!

Thanks Darthvader, best feature is my face and chest.

And have yourself fitted for a good bra - can make all the difference to your waist to chest distance - if you're a D cup or over, try Bravissimo - they're fab. Also if you want to wear boots but can't find them to fit, try Evans - they tend to be cut wider than others. Or, if you have a bit of cash to spend, Duo (although they're more for the wide of calf, rather than ankle). I'd have thought that boots would be ideal for fat ankles, as they cover them up more.

puffling · 13/10/2007 21:33

Am looking at Duo despite them being £150 a pop! Evans boots bizarrely are too loose, despite no other boots fitting.

Ones from The Shoe Tailor seem to be good for larger legs too and a bit cheaper - some here.

JackieNo · 13/10/2007 21:40

Duo are eye-wateringly expensive, but lovely, and they should really last well. Even better if you can get to one of their shops to try on, as sending them back if they don't fit costs an arm and a leg.

Another vote for Duo - very good quality.
Puffling you sound like me except at least you have a decent chest. Oh I guess my neck is ok but that doesn't feel like much consolation. Flat tummy was my best bit til ds came along!

Definitely try and find some wider boots for over jeans.

Puffling, what size are you and what is your lifestyle, where do you need to wear the outfits to? Give us more information!
