Long Sleeved Vests

Hi All,

I’m new and expecting my first baby in around 4 weeks (hence what seems to be maybe a ridiculous question...apologies 🤦‍♀️)

Long sleeved vests....when are these used? From my research (I’ve minimal first hand experience of babies) baby should wear a vest under a sleepsuit or t-shirt/legging type outfit, dress etc. But would this always be a short sleeved or sleeveless vest underneath said outfits, or for those particularly cold days/nights, would I use a long sleeved vest underneath a long sleeved outfit/sleepsuit?

As I type I feel utterly silly for asking (especially at 4am 😭) but I'm totally bamboozled. I’ve got enough long and short sleeved vests and a small handful of sleeveless given the time of year, but no idea on when to use each type.

Thanks in advance.

Long sleeved vest in cold weather, short sleeved vest in less cold weather, no vest in hot weather. Just think of what layers you would feel comfortable in at a given temperature.

And try to relax a bit! Easier said than done I know, but this really isn’t something you need to be lying awake thinking about at 4am! Good luck with your baby.

Thanks for answering @Ginandplatonic
I just wasn’t sure that you’d put long sleeve under long sleeve if that makes sense.

I must add that it’s my pregnancy insomnia that has me awake so early. Although it’s during these early mornings where I sit reading my book that random thoughts about vests etc. perplex me 🙈

Or long sleeves could go with dungarees. But there's not one way of dressing a baby just think of how many layers they need to keep warm and how thick each layer is.

Good luck 👍
