Peri menopausal hair - help!

Can any recommend a good shampoo and conditioner for 'mature' hair as I've noticed that since being peri menopausal my hair has changed texture and not in s good way. It's usually straight (just beyond shoulder length) and I'm told it's fine but there's lots of it Hmm but it's getting thinner and a bit frizzy....oh the joys

Thanks for any suggestions

I really like Philip Kinsley Elasticizer and Virtue Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner. Unfortunately they're not cheap but they do seem to make a difference. Regarding your hair getting thinner I've found The Ordinary Hair Serum is very good (I use it with a make up brush for my eyelashes and eyebrows too).

Shu uemera. Chose the right one for you. It is rather expensive but it lasts a long time as you only need a bit of it.

They all smell divine too.

Watching with interest - I've just started using a Plantur 39 shampoo but too early to tell if it's doing its supposed job of reducing the amount of hair that comes out with every wash...

I am mid 40s (guess a bit peri but not too sure). I have curly hair and follow a curly blogger called curly proverbz. She has a video about a diy hair growth oil and since using it my thinning edges are growing proper hair again. Took a few months to see results but worth it.

just Google for "curly proverbz hair growth oil".

Thanks everyone, I'll give those a try 🤞

Olaplex no 0 is incredible stuff. No 3 on its own doesn't do much but combined with 0, it's transformational.

Also check your vitamins, I’ve found a good multi-vitamin and iron supplement has really helped my hair. It was thinning badly and texture had really changed but it’s now growing back and texture is better. I’m definitely peri-menopausal and think my system just needs the boost from vitamins.

Hair oil!

It has transformed my greying frizz, rubbed through the lengths after washing/conditioning. Elvive Extraordinary Oil does the job, or there are loads of more fancy brands.

I tried the Plantur in the green bottle. I found it made my hair dry and it felt awful.

Alterna caviar anti aging range. It's expensive but whenever I try to switch to something cheaper I regret it and go back
