Which shops are good if you have really narrow shoulders?

I'm going shopping tomorrow and don't have much time available, but I'm looking for jackets, coats and tops.

I'm an odd shape and would appreciate help from the fashionastas out there among you (Mrs Badger pls??)

Apologies if tmi but I'm big in the nork department but have very narrow shoulders, not helped by poor posture. If tops fit on the norks then the shoulders are enormous, and if the shoulders fit then its too tight across the bust.

Would appreciate any shop recommendations from the narrow-shouldered among you ...

Oh where are Trinny and Tranny when you need them ....

oh am too late

would have said Zara and Mango but they are small all over so wouldn't go round norks - Bravissimo clothes a better bet

and while you'r5e in there get measured and get a better bra, does wonders for posture

Oh thank you Mrs Badger. Not too late at all as didn't have much luck on Saturday so very much appreciate your response.

I do have good bras and have been fitted.

It's more that the shoulders on every jacket or coat I try look ridiculously huge. This was a problem when I was younger and stick-thin, even more of a problem now I'm not!

I always try and buy things with Raglan sleeves, and wrappy/flow-ey/kaftany sorts of cardigans are good but they are not very practical on the school run. Need a proper coat or jacket ... .

Bravissimo have a mac but it's not very warm

Countingthegreyhairs · 15/10/2007 13:49

Thanks - will check it out. If it's the right fit I can always wear thermals ....

I would say also look out for things with puffed sleeves. These will make your shoulders look bigger and balance you out.

Countingthegreyhairs · 15/10/2007 14:35

Oh ... Gemy ... hadn't thought of that. Thank you. Will definitely give that a go ...
