Long walking boots/wellies?

Not really style, more practical.

I walk a lot and long distances, I have walking boots but they are not really long enough and my legs get muddy, wellies always rub and are too restrictive. Is there such thing as a longer walking boot or something to go in my legs to protect from mud (not water proof trousers)?

I have some Muck Boot shoes and am eyeing up some wellie style boots

@HarrS79

I have some Merrell water proof boots they look like normal high boots but are completely waterproof. I only got merrell as I like the brand there's a few different ones out there.
To clean up easily? They look comfy.

Muck boots could work, I shall have a look at these too.

I often walk before I go to work so ideally want to keep my jeans/trousers mud free so I don’t have to pop home and get changed.

I have Dubarry Kildare boots ( calf length and wider than the higher ones so suitable for walking with jeans tucked in ).. They are 12 years old and I must have walked hundreds of miles in them ..
Actually I am horrified to see just how expensive they are now ( they were expensive then but less than half the price of now) .. But in 12 years they have never leaked , are totally
waterproof, comfortable and haven't needed resoling..
I am going to wince mightily if I ever need to replace them though

Not stylish in the slightest but what you need is gaiters - they attach to your walking boots and they protect your trousers up to the knee (although I think you can get lower ones too) Something like these: www.decathlon.ie/ie_en/quechua-forclaz-50-hiking-gaiters-en-s12961.html

Have a look at horse riding brands almost all do what they call country boots which would fit your requirements. Ariat, Dublin,Shires etc.

Muck Boots Wetlands. Had mine forever. Have tried ‘em all.

I absolutely love my Le Chameau vierzonord wellies. I read a review of them that said it's like slipping your feet into marshmallows and this is so accurate! I've just bought my second pair having had my previous ones for about 10 years and thoroughly used and abused them. I walk miles in them and they have never rubbed.

I was here to say the unstylish gaiter is your friend.

Ariat grasmeres

If you’re basically happy with your walking boots then gaiters are what you need!

I borrowed some gaiters, I thought I’d hate them but I didn’t want to give them back. Only the very bottom of the boot getting mucky meant there was less to clear up / faff about with.
