Greasy coloured hair

In the last few months I have been greasy hair ( the joys oh menopause) and have found using shampoo for greasy hair helps.
I had my highlights done yesterday.

Do I go for shampoo and conditioner for greasy hair or for coloured hair?
I'm not in the UK so my options are limited anyway.

I have had greasy hair. I haven't been greasy hair.

Do you have bleached highlights or is it a colour? Shampoo for greasy hair will strip off colour more quickly, so if you have toner or coloured highlights, you have to be careful. If it is bleached highlights then it doesn’t matter so much. Have you looked at dry shampoos to extend time between washes?

It was colour rather than bleach.

The hairdresser suggested dry shampoo but couldn't suggest any where I could get it.

OK in that case you will have to be careful with shampoo for greasy hair. You can buy dry shampoo in the supermarket, but for a bigger range, look in Boots and Superdrug. There’s lots of price ranges. Lush and Aveda also do them. If you are a beginner, I would start with good old Batiste which is a go to brand. A very important trick with dry shampoo is, put it in at night before bed, and it will absorb the grease as it is produced. It is more effective than applying it in the morning. Would you say you have sensitive skin on your scalp? You do have to watch out to not overdo it...as in, don’t do dry shampoo three days in a row if you have a tendency for buildup. I would do a little regime like - day one, freshly washed. Put in a bit of dry shampoo at night. Day 2, should still look nice. Good brush in the morning, quick blast with hair dryer. Day 3, pony tail or hair up during the day, wash at night or morning of day 4

Use shampoo for coloured hair. If you can, get dry shampoo similar to your hair shade.
