What can I do with unused make-up?

I'm having a sort out ahead of advent calendar season, and it turns out I've got quite a bit of make-up I've never used. They're generally from gifts with purchases, so I didn't get to choose the colours, and they're just not for me.

They're mostly not sealed, but you can see from the surface that they haven't been used - I've tried taking photos of a couple so you can see what I mean.

It seems like a waste to throw them away - is there anything useful I can do with them?

Would a woman's refuge accept them?

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 08/10/2020 09:26

If they're good brands I'd put them on shpock as a bundle, someone will definitely buy them.

Organize a make up swap evening with your friends.

These sort of things sell well on Depop

Yes, a woman's refuge might accept them, or there's an organisation called Beauty Banks, they have drop of points in a lot of Superdrugs.

Thanks - and apologies for starting the thread twice, I was getting a random "access denied" message! I'll check out Superdrug next time I'm in town - happy to donate, just didn't know where!

Beauty banks will only take them if they haven't been opened I think. I would put them on Facebook market place or similar

I always offer mine to teenage daughters of friends. Great for them to practice with and test colours with out the expense.

I give mine to the local women's refuge. They're always very grateful for toiletries and cosmetics. I think Beauty Banks is a good scheme too.

Bit random but in the hospital I work in the morgue ask for beauty products to make the deceased look 'themselves' for viewings.
