Best way to remove hair on upper lip

zatarontoast · 06/10/2020 13:59

I have fair but getting more noticeable hair on my upper lip and I want to do something about it. I want to do it at home rather than going to a salon. Are dermaplane blades any good? Any suggestions/recommendations welcome.

Not removal, buy I find bleaching it is the easiest

NW It is already very fair and becoming more noticeable as a result. My children are even commenting on it now Blush

Nothing works better for me than a Lumea.

Shave it, zap the roots, job done!

I use these things. It takes seconds and if you do it in the evening, by the morning there won’t be any redness.

I find actually removing it causes skin irritation.

So I bleach, then trim short with super sharp scissors! Sounds odd maybe but it works for me.

I use a Phillips precision trimmer, find it works very effectively.

I have very fine fair hair on my top lip too. Only became noticeable in the past few years.

I use a tweezerman instrument of torture hair removal tool. It's a bit like threading - pulls the hair out from the roots. At first it bothered my skin and I would get tiny pimples a couple of days after using it. My skin is used to it now though and I only need to use it once a month or so. I would definitely recommend it. It's quick and easy.

Nair

This its fab for eyebrows, lip and chin.

I shave using one of those dermablade razors (whatever they're called, like flat knives) I used to wax with cold wax strips but the constant tugging on my lip can't be good for my skin so switched. But I did also have about 6 sessions of laser removal 4ish years ago as well.

Butternutsqoosh · 06/10/2020 14:49

I use nair or similar now as both waxing and threading have me tiny white spots every time, doesn't last quite as long but easy to do at home yourself

LaBellina · 06/10/2020 14:52

Wax strips is what I used in the past.
After removing it for years, my stache grow got a bit less and now I just pluck the hairs out with tweezers.

Veer facial hair remover

Quick, painless and it grows back softer

shinynewapple2020 · 06/10/2020 14:54

Veet

m0therofdragons · 06/10/2020 14:55

I’ve just started using nair and I’m impressed. I’ll stick with that for now. I saw some weird razor like things but they didn’t actually explain how they removed the hair which annoyed me. I hate so called women’s products that assume you know what they are!

I use depilatory cream. I've had it waxed before but it hurts so much and I couldn't do it anymore. 12 tattoos including a sleeve in progress and I can't stand lip waxing Grin

ramblingsonthego · 06/10/2020 15:54

I have it threaded or use a dermaplane. I am the same as you and have very light hair but it is noticeable in certain lights and also getting thicker as I age.

Nutellalovesme · 06/10/2020 19:00

I use Nair hair removal cream.
I don't bother with the one specifically for the top lip I just buy a tube from poundland and it's fine
