Looking to buy for my 3 year old, but she’s tall. Can anyone tell me what the sizing’s like please?

Gentle bump.

I'd describe it as tall but skinny!

Thanks @ChalkDinosaur!

Long! Particularly in jumpsuits... I bought a 2-3 jumpsuit for my DD at age 2 and she's only really wearing it now at 3.5y. Likewise I think the 3-4 jumpsuits I bought her at the start of this summer will probably fit next april-ish 😂. She's reasonably long legged too. The leggings seem better (possibly cos it doesn't matter so much) and tops and dresses just right.

True to size for my tall and skinnies. If they are selling 2-4 or 4-6 I'd size up. Reviews can sometimes give you a clue as to how they come up.

StatementKnickers · 04/10/2020 17:22

I find it tiny - need to go up a size even for skinny kids.

RedCatBlueCat · 04/10/2020 17:35

Its brill for my skinny kids, so Id say small waists and long.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 04/10/2020 17:41

My DS is chunky and tall and we’ve always had to size up.

doingmeheadin · 04/10/2020 17:47

As above, good length for most things but small waisted.

TheGriffle · 04/10/2020 17:49

I find it small. My 7yo is in the teenage range and I buy 4-5 for my small 3yo.

Bobbybobbins · 04/10/2020 17:56

Large for my slim 6 year old but small for my chunky 4 year old.

Fabuleuse · 04/10/2020 21:51

I have a tall 6 year old who needs an 8-10 in their jumpers! Trousers are true to size though.

Have an petite/skinny 5 year old girl. She wears age 4-5 in most shops. We bought her some hoodies in the 4-6 age and they were too small. Had to go up to a 6-8. Leggings were true to size, but as I said, she is pretty tiny, so overall I would say they come up small

nobodyloveslava · 04/10/2020 22:08

I'm not sure whether it applies to the slightly older children's clothes, but I know in baby sizes they actually have what seems to be a centimetre sizing alongside the age size. Have a look and see if you can see that number on the label.

CarrotInATree · 04/10/2020 22:11

I find the 0-4 range massive. My nearly 4 year old can still pull the 1-2 tights up to her chest!

dalrympy · 04/10/2020 22:15

It's from sweden and they size in height rather than age so go by that.

104cm is approx age 4 for example.

WhereAreWeNow · 05/10/2020 09:58

I always found it quite small. It's good for my slim DD in terms of not being too baggy but I've always had to buy a size up to get the right length.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 05/10/2020 10:36

I've found H&M to be one of the the only place I could get stuff that fits my very skinny girl so I'd say it comes up on the small side compared to Next or the supermarket She's always worn the correct size for her age.
