Knee length boot for wide feet and chunky calves

Heels1965 · 03/10/2020 11:57

Hi please help me find a chestnut brown, tan or conker leather knee length boots, flat or with low chunky heel max 2in high. It must be wide enough for chunky calves of 18in and feet wide fit EE. Budget £250 max.

Clarks, new look and m&s wide shoes are not wide enough for my feet. I have found Evans too big in the foot and unsupportive.

I have plantar fasciitis and bunions so really struggling with footwear.

Thank you.

Duoboots! Amazing quality and all different calf and foot widths. Great range, you’ll have plenty of choice. They are more expensive but your budget will be fine and you get what you pay for.

I found Duo Boots really good, still have a pair that are 5 years old.

You could be me! I have wide feet, bunions and chunky calves.....I am also short. I have some that are 7 years old from Boden. They’re still going strong.

OvertiredandConfused · 03/10/2020 12:56

Are these any good?

Ginandtonic4all · 03/10/2020 13:05

Duo boots. Best ever boots and if you keep them well with boot trees and polish. They last forever.

You don't need to go to a shop as mail order very good and measuring instructions work.

Simply Be sell boots in EEE fitting with 4 width fittings for legs, the leather ones are around £90.

Bejazzled · 03/10/2020 13:30

Didn’t Duo close down, or did they re-open?
I have had a few pairs from them and Gabor in the past and they were excellent.
There are several stockists of Gabor in the UK who are online (just in case you only tried Gabor themselves)

Duo rebranded as Ted and Muffy - they went downhill and Duo was reborn and are back to being good again!!!!

I've literally just returned some knee high chestnut boots from Next today as they were too wide on my legs and I have chunky quite muscly calf muscles

https://www.next.co.uk/g61152s9/233053#233053 these ones

Ohhgreat · 03/10/2020 19:47

Simply be do Joe Browns boots in wide fit and wide calf - could be worth a look!

Heels1965 · 04/10/2020 13:32

Absolitely loved Duo boots and ordered .. cabt believe haven't tried them before. Fingers crossed they fit well.
I also ordered from Dune. Will see.

I had bad lack with Simply be but will try again.

Boden, i read reviews they are narrow.. I will keep them in mind and order to try for myself if the ones I have already ordered are no good.

I liked the linked next and curvissa ones, thank you. I'm thinking I need a dressy and casual pairs of brown boots as i like both styles.

Thank you all for your suggestions

Knittingnanny · 04/10/2020 16:11

Try pavers, I have wide feet, and bunions etc and they have lovely boots

RWK29 · 04/10/2020 16:21

@Heels1965 Was coming on to say try Gabor then I seen your further post! Lots of stockists in the U.K. so you may manage to get the ones you like somewhere else 😊

SimplyBe Heavenly Feet boots are nice, very comfy sole, a bit bikerish, and come in a variety of foot and calf widths. But they are not leather, if that matters.

These are very comfortable, I walked for miles in the rain today wearing them, got home dry and not aching at all.
