Urgent help needed - PLEASE help me find something to wear to a wedding that I can brestfeed in

Wedding is this Saturday.

DD3 is 2 and a bit weeks old so will need feedign on and off throughout day and pretty much most of the evening probably.

Postal strike means the breastfeeding dresses I paid for and ordered online haven't arrived.

Going out shopping tomorrow again in the hope to find something but as I'll have DD3 with me and limited time before having to pick up DD1 and DD2 I don't want to trawl shops blindly.

Can anyone think of or find something from a shop such as

Warehouse
John Lewis
Monsoon
Hennes
Top Shop
M&S
Zara

etc?

TIA, xx

have you gone yet? it prolly depends on how big your boobs are - i find mine are small enough to squeeze out of anything low cut e.g. this which has nice camoflage (sp?!) going on in the belly region (although since you suggest zara am suspecting you may not need as much camoflage as some of us ). this one from warehouse ties at the shoulder so could be an option but i see is mostly sold out online. i don't know much about the underpinnings of strapless dresses but would they be easy enough to hoik yourself out of? if so you've got gazillions to choose from at monsoon this one is particularly lovely, although the chances of me squeezing into anything that fitted 2 weeks pp were zilch...

add a little cardi or shrug over the top for coverage and you're away. hope you find something

FLIER · 11/10/2007 10:01

you need a skirt and a vest/cardi combo. When I was bfeeding and went to a wedding I got mine from Monsoon.
hope you manage to get something

puppydavies · 11/10/2007 10:02

d'oh forgot about nursing bras i guess strapless is out then and that first one is low cut at the back. there's loads of button-front smocky things about if they're not too casual...

skirt

puppydavies · 11/10/2007 10:03

actually yeah, a dead posh skirt and cardi with a nursing vest under might be the way to go. h&m do nice plain nursing tops/vests.

pneumalifenewname · 11/10/2007 10:04

To be honest I think you might find this a bit easier than regular wear because essentially you can go low cut and hoik boobies over the top. I breastfed in my wedding dress and wedding bra (mucho underwiring) and even though my boobs ached at the end of the evening it did work okay.

puppydavies · 11/10/2007 10:05

Also went to mother in law's wedding at 2 days after the birth and my tummy was mahoosive so I wore black bottom half (velvet trousers) with extra sucky in basuqey type thing and a shiny patterned top that undid at the shoulder.

PoshCod · 11/10/2007 10:10

puppydavies · 11/10/2007 10:26

how wd u feed in that purple top cod? i'd go for something patterned cos chances of leakage high at 2wks - also no to silk cos it will stain permanently.

PoshCod · 11/10/2007 11:56
