Hamble Oak - Noisy?

Hi
I'm going to buy some brogues for work and was wondering whether hamble oaks make a 'clicky' noise when you walk, like ugh heel noise?

Mine do... I’ve had them about 12 years and I bloody love them! It’s quite a deep sound, not clock type like high heels.

YouCantCallMeBetty · 25/09/2020 22:17

Yes, I agree. It isn't a clicky noise like heels but mine definitely make noise when I walk.

They are a fabulous comfy shoe with just the right amount of sound!

I have a pair (a few years old) but they don't make a noise, I do have other shoes that squeak which is very annoying

GlassOfPimms · 26/09/2020 10:21

Yes - I did wear mine to work but people always commented on the clunky noise they made! We have quiet areas where I work so they just weren't suitable.

Mine are a few years old so they might have changed the design now?

I don't find my pair noisy (carpets at work) but I do find it hard to find invisible socks that fit! Can anyone recommend some that aren't too high but don't just cover your toes?

contactusdeletus · 26/09/2020 13:37

They do! I enjoy it though. I second the invisible socks thing though. They're just a bit too low cut to make most work. I usually wear with tights and a skirt.

I have a couple of pairs and no, they don't make a noise. But I get mine reheeled with a proper rubber heel (not plastic) when I buy them. Lovely shoes!
