A stylish mac (judge me!)

I'm looking for an autumn/spring jacket for dry days (I have a rain jacket already) and I really want a trench coat. A petite one as I am short!

What does everyone think of this? Is it terrible? I'm 36 and at the moment still home working, so it would be for wearing out and about more generally.

What body shape are you? Double breasted trenches can make you very barrel like and stocky, especially if you're on the short side.

Hobbs and Whistles do the best trenches in my opinion. They last years and are worth every penny

I love the Hobbs Saskia. Not sure if they do a petite version though.

I like it

Uniqlo

@botemp I'd say hourglass. I figured if I could find one that was fitted and not all loose and baggy and large around the shoulders, it should be fine.

Have looked at the Hobbs one but it looks quite long. I don't want anything that's going to reach to my knees and beyond because that isn't a good length on me. I also don't have the budget!

I'm also an hourglass (classic as opposed to full and a size 6 at 5"4) and find double breasted really unflattering (I look horrific in the classic Burberry) but it may not necessarily be the same for you so if you like it you can always try and see.

Also, if it's a nice weather coat, I, moreoften than not, wear a trench open on those days. I do have a trench that is a double breasted cut where the collar falls lower and is more open and without the buttons and that fits fine so it's not necessarily strictly down to cut. Normally I'd say go out and try a bunch but that's not very helpful atm.

Oh, I would definitely wear it open more often than not! With the belt tied behind.
