HAIRDRESSERS PLEASE....So, here goes on behalf of myself and other posters who have been in touch....LOB PERMS?

I started another thread and it is amazing how many other posters have asked me to let them know if I find an answer. So please help us.🤞🙏🏽🤞

Hairdressers, we ( me and other PP's) are wanting a lob with curls/waves...is there a treatment that would make this happen. I don't know about other PP's but I want to be turned into a sleek professional...with no effort - no wands, no curling tools, just 'wash and go'.

Is it possible? -hair treatments? - dare I say 'perms'. There must be updated treatments out there that don't require me to have an 80's 'Kevin Keegan frizz'😂

Yes! Bumping

I'm not a hairdresser but digital perm is probably what you're looking for. They use large rods instead of tightly winding around curlers to get your hair looking similar to that. You do have an issue with roots growing in as that will be like your normal texture and perm solution is the worst thing you can do to your hair so I'm not sure how much you can repeat it/top it up. Also expensive iirc.

Sportysporty · 03/09/2020 17:01

Yes but as a previous poster has said its regrowth that is the issue and the damage even the best digital perm can do. Actually probably best to go to an older 40 plus hairdresser who really knows her stuff with perms as 30 and under they probably didn't do it in collage and won't have done many x

I think we still need more information. 🤔

Bit old but you get the idea - there’s a few before and after on Pinterest. But.... to be honest the results from a GHD big curl jobbie look better....

Sportysporty · 03/09/2020 18:45

Ok - good ones are expensive - they will probably go frizzy - they are great initially but shit to grow out - not many haitdressers thease days do good ones.

TenhillPlace · 06/09/2020 15:43

The Hershesons info is really useful. I like the home 'lockdown' clips of styling.

I looked into digital perms a couple of years ago. Apparently the issue is that you need to keep up the roots once it grows out ,and it's really bad for your hair (I have balayage at the ends, and apparently the combo of perming solution and ANY form of bleach can cause it to break off dramatically)
It's not something that many salons are good at, and the technology is still not all there yet, along with most hairdressing staff having experience.
And they say you will still need to style it afterwards with a wand a little bit - which is the real reason i gave up

some useful info here. I note, not many of these women look the way that i am imagining my ideal hair would anyway??

Those photographs are not of permed hair sadly.
