Ankle boots

I’m looking for a pair of flat ankle boots that will last for years, I’m happy to look at different styles etc but in my head I’d like tan suede ones,

Does anyone have any recommendations?
My boots always seem to end up with the sole peeling off and that does not make for warm feet in winter.

A few years ago loads of MNers bought these. I used to be a footwear buyer and they're likely the same quality as PC.

Also I highly recommend Grenson. But £££.

@hammeringinmyhead

They look nice
Any idea how they suit people with very skinny calves?

They're probably better on slim calves to be honest. I don't think there is much give!

Hotter make very comfortable and reliable boots. I’ve got several pairs of long and ankle boots that have been worn for many years. I’ve got three pairs of Whisper which are very comfortable for all day use, and the Tenby style are also good, with a more compact design. www.hotter.com/gb/en/ankle-boots

I mistakenly clicked on Penelope Chilvers and the animal print ones are so lovely!

Bareback Footwear could be a budget option if you like F&F and Penelope Chilvers. Fab quality. I love the short suede Spanish style ones and the Monroes.

@GlendaBee, the Tenby boots look smart. Hotter is family owned, I think, and I've been told that customer service is great and that the shoes are very comfortable.

The Penelope Chilvers boots won't date, and if you're looking for boots that will last, that's great.

I have moved from DMs to Solovairs www.nps-solovair.com/collections/solovair/products/s8-551-bk-g?variant=19776612335680, and the quality seems much better, but I've not worn them yet, but I want the Astronaut ones in burgundy rub-off as I've mentioned a few times.

I bought a pair of expensive italian ankle boots in a sale once, didn't wear them more than a couple of times, then shoved them in the cupboard for over 10 years then wore them loads. Still have them and will wear them again this winter.

Thank you all so much I’m going to start googling now. It’s been a busy couple of days I’m sorry I couldn’t come back any sooner.
