Like black tights brown shoes/boots

When is is ok? Is it a certain shade of brown only? I have my eye on lovely brown boots but they will be worn with black tights etc

I wear brown tights with black boots
and black tights with brown boots but only if a bit sheer or patterned

think people are either good in black or in brown but not both..... black suits me v well..... brown is deathly....... one or other near your face hair but bet the other does nothing for you.....
(but agree that pair of brown boots wouldnt be the end of the world with black dress (as long as you mind the dogs)

I wear black and brown together ,looks fine imo.
