Led light face mask is helping clear up my facial eczema

Been using an led light mask for over a year now ( the red light only) on and off but on average about once a week. In that time I noticed I haven’t had as much trouble with my eczema on my face or my chapped lips ( usually a real problem for me especially in winter). Recently went away and was in the pool a lot and my eyelid eczema returned with avengence. When I came home I decided to put the led mask to the test and didn’t do anything else apart from that. I did twenty minutes a day for the past three days and my eyelid eczema has almost completely cleared up.

Anyway I thought I would share my experience in case it helps anyone. I use the light salon boost one. It’s expensive. There are a lot cheaper ones about but for me in this case I felt more comfortable spending a bit more and didn’t like the idea of using blue light some of the other masks have.

I’ve got the Dermalux Flex and I absolutely love it. It was super expensive but I did used to visit a salon for LED therapy so I suppose over time it’s more cost effective...at least that’s how I pitched it to DH 🤣. I find it great for calming down break outs and healing the skin.

LED masks were amazing for my acne too. The blue light. I also liked the red light for a plumped up look. I also always recommend them to people but the only downside for me is the time to use them. With two small kids I really struggled.

Just looked these up on amazon and there's quite the price difference. Has anyone used the cheaper ones and found them any good?

My friend uses one that cost about £80 and really rates it. Don’t know which it is though.

paradise thats part of the reason I went for the light salon one. You can walk around with it on so often wear when am doing chores. I also like the flexibility in where I put it so offer lie with it over my décolletage area as well.

I have just ordered a Lux Skin wireless LED mask which was £29 (£41 by the time taxes and shipping added on). Not expecting much for that price but will report back..

@ChequerBoard - I just found this thread, and wondered if you got anywhere with your light mask. Did it do anything? Cheers.

What’s the difference between blue and red light? Problem skin here!

Also what safety checks have been done?

stevalnamechanger · 31/05/2021 23:03

I have the Lumie one and I like it!

I have awful red skin in my face. They think it’s eczema. Currently in immunosuppressants because of it. I might have to look into this
