That was quick!
Tret 0.025 and niacinamide.
I've been using PC retinol treatment for a couple of years so I'm hoping my skin won't have too much of a shock.
Saying that, I'm keen to prevent nasty peeling etc so I'm thinking every other night to begin with.
If anyone has experience with this same product, I'd love to hear your experiences.
Thanks,
Ags.

I’m on tret and niacinamide too and was a PC 1% user before subscribing to Dermatica.

I’ve seen great results. It’s not the magic cure and it takes time to see results but I do have clearer smoother more even skin now.

Go very easy. Even as a seasoned retinol user this stuff made me peel. I used it 3 times a week for at least a month to begin with. A good tip I picked up was put lip balm and eye cream (or any moisturiser) on before the tret to stop it bleeding into those areas and making them sore. Don’t use around your nostrils either. Stay away from any acids or scrubs and use gentle uncomplicated products especially on tret days or morning after. You can slowly reintroduce acids later down the line.

Thanks @NotExactlyHappyToHelp
On your tret-free evenings did you use your PC or just leave skin bare?

Another question @NotExactlyHappyToHelp (if you don't mind my cheekiness!)
How bad was the peeling and how long did it last?

On my tret free evenings I just used a hyaluronic acid serum and a nice moisturiser. Definitely don’t use the PC again at all. It’s a one or the other type deal unfortunately.

Peeling wasn’t too bad and it only lasted a day or so but that’s because as soon as I noticed it I pumped the brakes and had 2-3 nights off from the tret. Slow and steady wins the race Smile.

Look up Hot and Flashy on YouTube, she explains why the peeling part of these products are not a given, and how to avoid.

Brilliant. Thanks all!

I have adapalene, niacinamide and clindamycin from dermatica for my acne prone skin. I always had one hormonal cyst on the go around my chin or jaw so thought a topical treatment wouldn’t be the solution but a month in and I have had one spot and it was tiny. I honestly can’t recommend this service enough.

I apply every other night and have had no redness or peeling and it hasn’t made my skin dry at all. My skin is used to having strong products thrown at it so I took to it well. On the nights I don’t use it I use my regular products and so far so good
