First one is absolutely stunning. Hurry up and buy it!

CheesePleaseLoueese · 16/08/2020 20:47

lucky lavender - I was also thinking a jumpsuit / trouser suit might add a Bianca jagger-esque twist to affairs (albeit, sadly, I'm not anywhere near as good-looking.)

HermioneWeasley - Yes, I see the need for a jacket or cape of some description.

Thank you all the honest views and tips.

I think I shall go for the first one and accessorise like mad. Possibly with metallics!

Oh wow. That’s gorgeous. Both, but the first is really stunning.
I’m far too curvy to carry off a jumpsuit, but totally would if I could

Onekidnoclue · 16/08/2020 20:55

It just gets better! Jumpsuit plus cape plus metallic accessories! OP I think I want to marry you now Grin

inchoccyheaven · 16/08/2020 20:57

My dw wore a jumpsuit as she hates dresses and had a cape for the ceremony.

Can I wear a jumpsuit to my wedding?
EnoughAlready2020 · 16/08/2020 21:03

It's gorgeous!! I was cynical before I clicked on the link but I want to buy it and I'm already married (for 26 years!). Buy it, look stunning and have an amazing day x

SionnachRua · 16/08/2020 21:30

Dear God how fabulous is that cape in @inchoccyheaven 's photo? Especially with the flowers, so slick. I love the dress as well, the little delicate shoulders are so pretty.

Palavah · 16/08/2020 21:32

Hat/fascinator type thing with a mini veil, or a jewelled headpiece.

Fake fur or brocade capelet.

Cavagirl · 16/08/2020 21:39

I LOVE it!!!! Do it!!

Please think about the loo though - can you get a seamstress to help you out discreetly here? Depending on how long the day is...I speak from bitter experience...

I wore a jumpsuit to a friend's wedding, felt fabulous, but the loo was a f*ing nightmare. Not helped it was an outdoor wedding so teeny tiny portaloos. Had to use one hand to stop the whole thing falling on the floor (ugh) and after several too many glasses of wine during my standing up manoeuvre trying to get knickers back on with one hand while holding the jumpsuit up in the absolutely tiny space I fell forward and twatted my head against the door lock. Cue all night everyone asking me what I'd done... errrr....

So yes, do think about loo. No one wants to be a bleeding bride!!!

Palavah · 16/08/2020 21:41

Maybe something like this for the ceremony

And then chandelier earrings afterwards?

Nishky · 16/08/2020 21:51

@SionnachRua - yes agree about the outfits in @inchoccyheaven ‘s photo- the cape, the dress, the chiffony trouser legs. Gorgeous

Onekidnoclue · 16/08/2020 22:10

@inchoccyheaven

My dw wore a jumpsuit as she hates dresses and had a cape for the ceremony.
Gorgeous!!! Both outfits are lovely. X
nonicknameseemsavailable · 16/08/2020 22:27

both are lovely but I think the first one as a wedding outfit is amazing.

ForeverRedSkinhead · 17/08/2020 12:59

Apologies if it's already ben said op , but I've worked out why I love the first outfit you posted so much. It reminds of Meghan Markle's reception dress. Such a beautiful style.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 17/08/2020 14:48

Yes first one is nicest, i would accessorise with silver, gold or rose gold shoes belt and jewellery, something sparkly but simple in your hair and perhaps a simple bouquet. Of Cala lilies or wildflowers tied with matching ribbon

RogueV · 17/08/2020 14:49

It’s lovely

MoltonSilver · 17/08/2020 14:54

You can wear whatever you like to your own wedding. The first jumpsuit you've picked is absolutely stunning.

inchoccyheaven · 17/08/2020 18:07

Thanks for all the lovely comments about our outfits. The cape was from ebay and is stunning. It didn't even cost that much. Dw is a shorty ( well we both are !) so seamstress had to take jumpsuit completely apart and take off a lot of the legs as they were made for giants lol. The bodice had sequins on to give some shimmer.
The flowers were foam as we wanted navy and we got married in January so limited on flowers.

kennycat · 17/08/2020 18:24

I love it.

And it’s your wedding. Wear jeans and a hoody if you like. If anyone comments you don’t have to pay for their wedding breakfast or ever associate with such rude ‘friends’ ever again.

I’ve just told my husband I’m wearing that jumpsuit next time I get married...

Tiggercee · 17/08/2020 18:32

I think It looks great. given that an ex wife had one of her family get married in black rubber gloves. of the marigold variety and rubber boots. I don't think anyone should complain about a beautiful jump suite. and its nice enough to wear to nice events afterward.
I thought it a little expensive. but as its for your wedding. its maybe cheaper than a bridal gown

Aimeeofangels · 17/08/2020 18:33

You can wear what you like. Its your day. Its stunning!

LionLily · 17/08/2020 18:38

Oh, the shoes and accessories you could get away with if you have that jumpsuit! Oh, the shoes!

Commonwasher · 17/08/2020 19:02

Late to the party, but just wanted to say that the jumpsuit is seriously lovely — great choice (def prefer the first one).

Congratulations, these are weird times in which to get married but it’s no less a special day and deserves the dress of dresses, or the jumpsuit of jumpsuits Smile

All the best OP.

CheesePleaseLoueese · 17/08/2020 20:03
