Looking for a good moisturiser

Hi all! Looking for a good moisturiser which must have SPF and not break the bank. I splurged and bought the Charlotte tilbury magic cream but notice absolutely no difference in my skin :(

Want something that won't break the bank. I'm early 30s so need something targeted for fine lines etc. I have combination skin, so don't want something rich.

Brands I have tried and don't really like (or have no SPF)... the ordinary, Clinique, olay total effects, Charlotte tilbury, simple.

:) xx

Cerave?

Aldi Caviar day cream and night cream. £6.99 each and lovely!

To be honest, you’re probably better to safe your money for Botox and then buy any old moisturiser with sunscreen

I use the Aldi £1.99 Q10 cream. I really like it!

I’d use a separate actual face SPF. When it’s in a moisturiser you generally don’t use enough for it to offer any protection. Mixed in to moisturiser it just doesn’t offer the same level of sun screening.

I use Revitalift Laser Renew. I swear it works (I'm 60).

I'm using on my neck as well and I've noticed an improvement there too.

It's not greasy and makeup goes on top of it well.

I have tried lots of moisturisers over the years and nothing beats Nivea Q10. It's only about £10 and quite often it's half price in Tesco so it's a bargain too!

You need a separate sunblock, the spf in moisturiser isn’t sufficient to prevent sun induced ageing.

I’ve got very oily skin so I just use sunblock.

I found with the Aldi caviar cream that it kind of leeches into my mouth and I can taste it all day. Never happened with any other cream.

HandsOffMyRights · 16/08/2020 09:15

Cerave. Was using pricey brand until saw this mentioned on MN.
It's excellent and inexpensive.

cherrypiepie · 16/08/2020 09:45

I also use Aldi q10 day cream its like £1.45 when it's in offer. I have dabbled with pricier alternative Clinique Estes Lauder etc but can not justify the cost as they are not that great- some are £70 a jar and always default back to the cheapo Aldi one. Also saving for Botox. I might try the caviar cream when it's next in stock.

Thanks all.

Had Botox in past but now TTC so the nurse practitioner I go to will not carry it out now which I'm fine with.

Will look at the suggestions :)

I went back to Olay, good stuff and affordable. Steam Cream is also fab!

Cerave - it is a really good all rounder - then separate spf (Mimitika is my personal favourite but there’s lots of good facial spfs now).
