Has anyone ordered one?
If so which one did you get?

I’ve been sucked in and ordered Kit 1!

No, I haven’t and I won’t be. Too expensive, despite the massive saving. If she did a really small, basic kit, suitable for a very cross face with literally 2 cleansers, a serum, and a moisturiser then I’d consider it.

I know she’s done these kits because people asked, and that’s great. But the fact that there are 2, and with an average of 10 products in each kit says to me that they’re being driven more by the brands that asked to be in them spotting a good sales opportunity, rather than her carefully choosing new products or brands that she hasn’t offered before based on what people were asking her to do.

Absolutely no chance.

I would've loved to if I had £225. It's a great saving for people that can afford it though. I might get the bag when it's released on it's own, depending on price.

EdithWeston · 14/08/2020 12:50

£225 for typically 10 products is an insane amount of money to spend!

Not everyone is going to be directly affected by the recession, but conspicuous consumption (a bit naff at the best of times) is going to be the sort of thing people will not want to admit to. And without chatter, this sort of expensive way to buy things someone else chooses for you, is going to struggle to survive. No matter how much brands pay to be included.

RogueV · 14/08/2020 13:08

Ouch!

I don’t think it is insane at all.

I would probably buy the products separately.
I use the eye cream that’s included in the set already so there’s a saving already.

Definitely not although I did watch her unveiling video just out of interest last night. I really don't get it. If you are interested in skin care then surely you know what works for your skin and have a tried and tested routine. Even if you buy one kit (and last time lots of people bought both) that's 10 new products to fit into your routine, so do you just stop using your existing products? I also agree with @HorsePellets, it's being driven by the brands spotting a good marketing opportunity rather than CH genuinely loving the products.

LondonJax · 14/08/2020 14:12

Yep, I'm with @TattiePants and @HorsePellets. I'm in my late 50s with rosacea. I know, through years of (painful, with rosacea) experience, what suits my skin. If I used, say, Mother Dirt Moisturiser, which is in her kit, why would I suddenly start using the other 9 random items? Because she says so?

If Mother Dirt items worked for me, I'd be sticking to them, not adding Demologica, Medik8 etc as random items. It's like she's done a supermarket sweep in Boots!

For example, on my skin, I used Nivea Micellar water to cleanse, Simple moisturiser, a Body Shop (I know) serum and Soolantra if my rosacea flares. That's it. That's what my skin can cope with. So the £300 box of tricks only works for two reasons a) you would use all of these products anyway so you're saving money which is fair enough or b) she's a damn good marketeer.

As her skin looks no better than my sister, whose the same age and uses supermarket brands, I don't even see how the products help. If they did, her own skin would look younger/firmer/brighter or whatever and it doesn't. It looks fine, but nothing special. And if I spent £300 on a box of tricks I'd want to look special, not fine.

Mumtumwobble · 14/08/2020 14:31

I would have loved one, especially kit 2, but I can’t afford it. Nothing to do with Covid my income is the same, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to justify that much money in one go. I do appreciate it’s a very good deal though if you can afford it and will use the products.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 14/08/2020 14:31

What's the point?

There's what, 10 products, in there?

It only works if all of them are something you would actually buy and use, otherwise you pay for couple of good things, lots of fillers and a bright yellow bag.

Railingsohno · 14/08/2020 14:32

It's just encouraging people to buy stuff they don't need. Excessive. A no from me. Can't stand the woman actually!

Cheetahfajita · 16/08/2020 11:14

I've been banned from the FB group for asking if someone was using a filter.

I was about to buy a kit too, I'll keep the money I guess Smile

TimeTruthandHearts · 16/08/2020 11:16

Nope.

It's not for people who like skincare, it's for people who like spending money.

WhoEatsPopTarts · 16/08/2020 11:35

I’ve read her blog for years and am a member of the fb group, but I can’t get excited about these kits. The last two were much better and less expensive, a great way to try some good quality core skincare items and I bought them. This time it feels a bit off, too many products therefore too expensive. I wonder if she can really say hand on heart that she believes in each and every product in the same way she has in the past. She’s included one of those cloths that claim you don’t need cleanser because ‘her mate’ produces it whilst simultaneously saying she doesn’t agree you don’t need cleanser!

I think she’s started to believe her own hype a bit. However she’s pretty down to earth and I hope that she takes a moment to rethink things and go back to the values that got her the success ie. integrity & humility.
