Hi! I'm getting hideous eleven lines between my eyes on the forehead. How can I get rid of these? Is Botox the only option?

TIA for your help.

Botox works within days

Yes Botox is really your only option. It's amazing and will remove those lines (and the ability to frown) within a few days and will last for months.

I have 11s which I either wake up with or develop during the day depending on how much I’m frowning, how tired I am, if I’m hydrated etc (they’re not permanent yet)

I have started using ‘facial smoothies triangle’ at night. I assume it’s similar to frowning. It’s basically a triangle sticker which prevents frowning. I do feel like it has helped but I think I’d have to keep using them.

Wear sunglasses to stop the squinting.

Indeed labs nanoblur primer. Small dab (don't be rub in), makes a huge difference to the appearance of mine.

Mine have improved a lot since I started using retinol two years ago. It was very gradual but I realised during lockdown (spending a lot of time seeing my own face on video calls) that they are not as noticeable as they once were, they’re not as deep.

I do think that Botox is the only answer to properly getting rid of them. I’m considering it to at least try and keep things as they are.

Is your skin well hydrated? I have a horrendous 1 line which is significantly worse when my skin is dehydrated, it goes from a fine line to a huge dent. Making sure your your skin is as hydrated and plump as possible (using Hyaluronic acid, avoiding products with drying alcohol etc) will minimise their appearance.

I also have a fringe!

totallyyesno · 13/08/2020 08:42

@Bellebelle Could you tell me what retinol you use? Also do you only use it on lines? I don't know where to start!

Bellebelle · 13/08/2020 08:48

@totallyyesno I’ve been using two products from Beauty Pie - a retinol serum which can be worn day and night (must have spf on top of it during the day) and then a retinol and vitamin C moisturiser over the top. I put it all over my face. I have used others in the past but this is the only one that doesn’t irritate my skin - something to do with the retinol being encapsulated according to Beauty Pie.

Agree with what @OhRosalind says as well, being well hydrated (inside and out) seems to make a big difference to how they look.
