I am so disappointed this time with my delivery
Got a gorgeous dress but you'd need to be tall and thin- stylist even mentioned it wasn't petite fit and it's huge (I'm 5'2)
Stripy. Lack t shirt with lattice back - is this not a bit grandma trying to be "trendy"?
Custard yellow t shirt. No shape
But a lovely cobalt blue t shirt. Very plain but lovely feel and fits beautifully. I checked the price and it's £45!! I could have got one in Gap before they went all thin fabric and confusing sales. I can't pay £45 for Avery thin t shirt can I??

Anyone? Maybe I'm just mean/ too low class for this kind of t shirt

When you registered you should have completed questions on budget so they know the price point of items to send you. That said, I’ve been disappointed with my latest box too. Prices have been fine. They’ve just not listened to feedback and what I will wear.

Orangesandlemons82 · 04/08/2020 08:28

I haven't had stitch fix for ages so can't remember but if you keep something do you get the clothes selection price off of the item? I would probably keep it but not have another stitch fix for quite a while.

polkadotpjs · 04/08/2020 09:37

It's a tricky one. I did set pricing but though this would be maybe £25! £45 just seems steep and husband said it looks thin but it feels lovely...!
Any thoughts on the strap backed t shirts?

JofraArchersFastestBall · 04/08/2020 09:54

What's it made out of? Will it last?
If it's fantastic quality, and will last longer and get more wear than two £25 t shirts then it's good value.... if not I'd send it back and hunt out something similar myself that's less expensive - or set up an eBay alert for the one you love.

polkadotpjs · 04/08/2020 09:56

Pic not loading :-(

I'll check the fabric type. I'm not a big spender on clothes normally and trying to change this but find quality hard to judge. I've had primark stuff last years and more expensive stuff go in bits. Is American vintage a quality brand or just a big name?!

American vintage is a good quality brand IME. Things wash well and last and it has a very nice fit to the body. That and Majestic Filatures (bit more expensive) are my top brands for quality basics that feel really nice to wear. You can have a browse on American Vintage's own website, there's an outlet section and it's very cheap, they repeat styles and fabrics a lot so you could potentially find something similar.

The key word here Is before. We are now at now. Low cost, high quality clothes are a thing of the past. Supetmarkets, Primark and mad Gap sales have lulled us into a false sense of the cost of clothes. Reality is beginning to bite back. I gritted my teeth bought a Jigsaw t shirt for £40 ish earlier this year because it is a beautiful colour. Also great quality and fire beautifully. I’ve worn it and worn it and worn it. Still looks great, and I expect it will for years to come.

TeanAndChocolateBiscuits · 04/08/2020 10:19

I wouldn't pay £45 for a T-shirt, but then, I wouldn't pay £45 for any item of clothing because I'm a tight arse, if it's not in Primark, I don't get it lol

TeanAndChocolateBiscuits · 04/08/2020 10:19

Saying that though, if you can afford it and will wear it, then go for it

Sooverthemill · 04/08/2020 10:22

@BikeRunSki exactly. Decently made clothing costs more. Primark stuff is not made to last. You are extremely lucky if it does. I think £45 for tee yiu wear and wear is better value that £10 for one you wear twice and Chuck. For me it's about cost per wear

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 04/08/2020 11:27

Primark isn't the only alternative though is it, you can get really nice t-shirts from places like Cos or Arket for much less than £45.

To be honest, when I have seen anyone post what they have been sent from Stitch Fix I haven't been wowed by it. Obviously you can't see the quality of the fabric in photos, but it has often looked quite unremarkable - I'm thinking things that look no different from something you'd get at M and S, but at twice the price.

Sooverthemill · 04/08/2020 11:32

@ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords that's true. I have spent £40+ on a tee before now but more of mine are around 25-30 mark and I have several from Arket at £15 that are great. I mentioned primark because someone up thread mentioned it.

polkadotpjs · 04/08/2020 13:38

Before- the magical place of quality! How I miss it! It feels lush and is 52% cotton 48% viscose so is nice and drapey. I'll see if I can find anything directly but yes I have to pay the £10 fee so it would be £35. Kind of!!

OP posts:
polkadotpjs · 04/08/2020 13:42

I think it's the Jacksonville u neck one. I'll try it again and see if makes me shiver with excitement again ( exaggerates slightly) even though it's only a t shirt...Grin

DarlingCoffee · 04/08/2020 18:47

What’s the brand OP?

DarlingCoffee · 04/08/2020 18:48

Ah I see it’s AV. If you love it, I’d keep it.

NotHotPot · 04/08/2020 18:51

If you find it, can you link it OP? I love cobalt blue and while £45 is steep for a t-shirt, my cheap Gap ones are looking awful after a year and I’m thinking paying more may be the solution.

Oly4 · 04/08/2020 21:30

I pay that price for Ted Baker t shirts. Worth every penny, I’d rather have one of those than three cheap rubbishy ones

MrsPerfect12 · 04/08/2020 22:37

I got the strip t shirt too but it's very long. I'll try it again.

MabelMoo23 · 05/08/2020 09:31

My First stitch fix Box is arriving shortly so I am intrigued by what will come

polkadotpjs · 05/08/2020 18:58

This was my striped lattice back
