Casual walk in lakes followed by pub

Hi all,

I'm 6 weeks pp and not feeling confident in my body or outfits. My traitorous old trusted wardrobe does not yet fit (flabby tummy, huuuuge F cup boobs - was previously a 10 on top and 12 on bottom) and my maternity stuff drowns/falls off me (spent all day hiking up my maternity trousers the other day nearly went insane)

We're going for an easy, flat, paved walk with the pram in the lakes tomorrow as DH is off.

WHAT THE HELL DO I WEAR?

I would normally wear jeans/gym leggings but neither of these fit. Like not even a little bit. Will I look ridiculous in a floaty midi dress and trainers? It's going to be 30 degrees!

Suggestions would be welcome xxx

Yes - dress and trainers. Sorted.

Or depending on where you are staying /living a pair of cheap supermarket shorts in a larger size than your pre pregnancy normal.

I'm to my pre pregnancy weight, but it's not pretty in my old sized clothes. You might find your shape has changed even once you loose your baby weight.

Thanks both. Glad dress and trainers won't look too try hard.

Hmm yes I'm fairly sure I've lost most the pregnancy weight now - it's just the added weight/shape of the breasts and excess skin on the tummy I think. And youre so right about shape changing!

Thanks x

Make sure you take a sun hat! Pregnancy hormones can play havoc with your skin so you'll need to look after it.
Well done for planning to get out!

Hat! Definitely! I am the palest of pale folk so will don a hat and douse myself in sun cream! Hope my outfit in my head looks as good in real life as it does in my head haha.

Thank you I'm a bit nervous about going on BBC a near 2 hour drive and being out all day not in a local park or family's but need to do it some time!

Going to pack a second outfit for the inevitable puke!

Summer dress, trainers and (sadly) waterproofs!

Hi all just to update. I wore a white (I know bad colour) midi dress, black trainers and a big floppy straw hat. Got a compliment too (though the baby got more than me, naturally!!).

Saw quite a few in loose float dresses and trainers/boots. Think we all agreed it was too hot for things close to bodies. Of course there were plenty more in proper waslking/hiking gear. But I imagine they did more than 1 walk round a lake that was paved lll

Sounds spot on!
