When to buy good quality plain t-shirts from online?

Any recommendations? Looking for fitted (but not clingy) smartish t-shirts in a range of colours. I'm going to be working from home for the foreseeable future and looking for something easy to wear for the endless zoom meetings. Ideally something good quality that holds it's shape well in the wash.

TIA!

Ooh look up the drape t shirts at Uniqlo. They're about £10 each and they are fabulous. They hang beautifully, look smart and wash really well.

Jigsaw

I love my super soft modal t shirts from Monki, they come in loads of colours.

Wash like a dream and don't crease.

Bit different from a cotton tee, personally I think they're a bit smarter but still casual.

I like the Hush slub v tees - cotton and come in a few colours (or they have round and scoop necks too if you don’t like v-necks.). They are somehow magically flattering on me (though you need to go down a size as they’re generous).

Blondiney · 29/07/2020 20:56

Uniqlo.

OxanaVorontsova · 29/07/2020 21:31

Arket

Victoria1083 · 29/07/2020 21:34

Definitely UNIQLO

Elouera · 29/07/2020 21:36

Last year I got some from Asda and Sainburys!!! Very cheap, but the cotton has washed well and the colours remained vibrant. I got red, black and white, but they did have others at the time- some are V necks and others just round. Also got DH some (plain T-shirts and ones will collars) and he is chuffed too!

niceupthedance · 29/07/2020 21:37

Cos - such nice material and washes well

goldenshoe · 29/07/2020 21:55

I like the Hush ones too,and a bit pricier but very nice ones from Sezane.

kittensandcoffee · 29/07/2020 22:30

Uniqlo or Esprit.

BrandyandBabycham · 29/07/2020 22:55

Where’s best for v neck ones?

rumblingtumtum · 29/07/2020 23:18

M&S have some at the minute with a nice length sleeve in decent fabric . £6.50 each and currently on offer 3 for 2.

Cotton Traders have a good variety too.

Zinnia · 30/07/2020 12:22

My best ones are definitely Cos (they wash and last brilliantly), Toast (in the sale!), Uniqlo and M&S Autograph. Arket are lovely quality but the neckline doesn't work on me personally. Also Baukjen, not a rainbow of colours but the fabric and cut are great.

Hush have some nice styles but I find the quality really variable.

Pegase · 30/07/2020 12:52

@curlytops21 how is the sizing with the Uniqlo t shirts - are they pretty baggy?

curlytops21 · 30/07/2020 13:21

Pegase they are quite generously sized but not baggy i would say as they are a lovely shape. I'm a 14/16 and i get the XL. The neckline is quite wide (v flattering) and the arm holes are closed but not tight (ie you could get away with hairy underarms if you wanted - no gaping) and the top is loose over my chest and stomach but seems to come in again around my hips so it's not loose /baggy at the bottom. That might just be me and my shape though.

They are really very smart - it's the type of top which you could wear out with jeans, leather jacket etc, but also nice with casual jeans, turn ups and converse.

Thanks everyone! Agree with PP on Hush, I find quality variable. Some great suggestions though, I've seen quite a few mentioned here that I like the look of.
