Wardrobe inventory and what it all cost

Does anyone else have a wardrobe inventory and total cost of their entire wardrobe.

Apart from Insurances purposes, I found it very useful to see how much I spend in different areas of my household.

so what would yours add up to

When I go on holiday I write a list of everything I'm taking as it helps me plan outfits & also for insurance purposes. I always need to up the allowance for luggage as the basic policies don't cover.

In terms of whole wardrobe no real idea but it would be more than 10k.

I don’t, but it would add up to a lot!

In terms of spend, I am conscious of “categories”. I’m quite hippy, so spend a lot more on bottoms than tops - all my jeans cost around the £100 mark, trousers are generally from Cos, and I have a couple of beautiful leather skirts which were a high initial outlay but have been worn loads.

In contrast, my t-shirts, and summer clothes (live in Scotland) tend to be much cheaper.

I have some really nice knitwear, some of which cost a lot, but I store it carefully and it comes out year after year.

I don’t own any heels or fancy shoes, but I have a lot of nice trainers, good flat Chelsea boots, and two pairs of DM Church monkey boots.

I made a conscious decision a few years ago to try (not always successful) to buy “better” and less often, so one lovely cashmere polo neck from John Lewis instead of three acrylic jumpers from Topshop.

I really need to have a good sort out & get rid of stuff. Have far too much.

Um no, can't do that. I have too much and some of it is so old I've forgotten how much it's cost Blush

However, I can tell you that since lockdown in March, I've spent just over £500 on clothes and shoes. Actually cash flow wise I had spent more but returned about 2/3 of what I'd ordered.

It actually makes me a little bit sick to think of all the waste I've helped to create with my online shopping and returning Sad I wish I could stop, but I find it incredibly hard to give up buying.
