Nice looking trainers with decent cushioning

Please help! I haven't got a clue where to start.

I'm flat footed, have narrow feet and have unusually thin padding on the soles of my feet (if only I could transfer some from my thighs...).

After a few years of slumming it a little I'm digging some of my day dresses out of the wardrobe. I used to wear these to work (casual office) with proper shoes but now I want to wear them just for pottering around so I'd like comfy, practical footwear.

I've got a pair of converse that almost look the part and are almost comfortable enough but really they're not good enough for walking more than a couple of miles and are a bit underwhelming style wise.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful! Budget £60ish.

I didnt see that the OP was particularly looking for arch support, more style and cushioning was how I read it @happylittletree.
I've had a few pairs of reebok and I've always found them comfortable tbh, much more than converse or supegra.

I think it's really difficult to find a balance of having a good supportive trainer and stylish too.

Nike internationalist are a good choice too, as mentioned by PP.

I agree that Reeboks are better than Converse or similar canvas shoes. I suppose I automatically think arch support when I think comfort!

I asked on here about trainers for narrow feet and New Balance were recommended. I have the 220 ones and they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. It’s a look to wear with them skirts/dresses (I don’t have any skirts or day dresses) but they are very comfortable and quite modern looking, without being overtly trendy as all sorts of people are wearing them

Nike and Reebok seem to be cropping up a lot so I think I'll order a pair of each and start there now that I've crossed Vans off the list.

I ordered some Skechers Bobs just because they popped up on my screen at a bargain price so thought I might as well try them even if they end up just being useful for round the house or whatever.

Just thought I'd add another suggestion if you're still looking I have acquired a friends Adidas superstars and they fit the bill Perfectly I love them They're cream leather rather than the bright white very cushioned and supportive

I use Legero, they are reasonably priced and great for Plantar F. I spray mine with a protector and they do for dog walks and more fashionable outings! Good luck!

I was going to say Fitflop trainers but I see you’ve ruled them out. I love mine I have really painful soles and things like Converse are sore after a few hours. My Airforce Ones aren’t too bad.

Another vote for Nike Internationalist. I’ve just bought a second pair as I wear them every day.

I have flat feet and though not particularly stylish, hoka trainers are brilliant. Expensive, but they save me from crunchy knees after long walks.
