Spider veins on face

Has anyone sucessfully has these removed? I had rosacea for years, got it mostly under control now but it has left me with patches of tiny red veins on my cheeks which I would love to get rid of. I did try electrolysis once and it sort of worked for a few, but they each have to be treated individually and it burns your skin so its not ideal. I know there are other methods out there to get rid of them so was hoping someone might have had a sucess story they would share?

I’ve had laser treatment on mine a few times- minor ones round my nose. Works wonders! Larger ones do come back sometimes a few years down the line but I just get them done again. I go to the SKn clinic where I live. Not much down time at all, usually just a bit of redness that is gone by the next day. Sometimes a little bit of swelling. However, I did get a tiny blister on my chin once from having one done but it disappeared fairly quickly xx

Ooo how much does it cost?

RD15 · 18/07/2020 15:07

@JingleCatJingle because mine are very minor, I only pay for a test patch which is £50. Obviously if you have lots of them, you’d pay for a test patch then a film treatment I assume. I’d pay more if I had to though as it really does work. Slightly painful (like being flicked with an elastic band) but they literally collapse. I’ve had IPL (more painful) and saw no improvements at all! Xx

*test patch then full treatment

Thank you!

I've got rosacea (redness/bumps plus the veins/capillaries), and had my first laser treatment for zapping the veins, two weeks ago (technically it's called Variable Pulsed Light (VPL)). Some veins are still present but much reduced. Am going for another zapping in a few more weeks.

Not cheap where I am, but I've felt awkward/embarrassed about my skin for too many years now, so am sorting myself out! Will still have the underlying redness, even with the veins zapped but can manage that separately.

Thank you everyone, sorry I thought the thread was dead! Im going to look into where I can get laser treatment. Ive found Soolantra amazing for getting rid of the rosecea itself, but the little network of veins seems permanent unless I do something about it.
