Hi All, Where are you getting your facemasks? As they are mandatory shortly I need to stock up so that I have one in my bag and in the car - I keep forgetting to bring it with me!

Local haberdashery shop.

Check your local fb group. There are lots of people doing them for a few quid, sometimes with a charity donation. Also loads on etsy.

Gap had lovely ones, but the adult ones are sold out now. I have worn the children's ones though as I am pretty small for an adult! I had to put slip knots in the elastic of the adult ones to fit well.

Boden also have nice fabrics, but I don't know about fit- they look much bigger than children's.

Facebook, or eBay. The prices on Etsy are quite ridiculous. eBay has much if the same for a lot less. If you wear glasses you might want one with a nose wire. Personally I favour the fitted cup shape rather than the pleated ones which always look a bit baggy.

Am Bruxa. She has a website and is on facebook.

This thread is so 2020.

I had a similar thought as I pegged out a row of masks on our washing line yesterday.

Strange times.

I just ordered these from The British Fashion Council. Some well known designers have taken part and 100% of profits go to charity.

thanks ZaraW I just ordered some too.

I also got ordered some from a local lady via the nextdoor site
I like the idea of the funds going to charity or to a small local person/business.

You could have a go at making your own; I've never sewed anything before, but decided to try to make my own face masks as would like to have a few for "wash and wear". I had bought some from Oliver Bonas, but they are way too big for my face.

I bought a half a metre of cotton fabric in a print that I liked from etsy for the outside, which was £5.99. For the lining I used an old pillowcase, and for the straps I cut up an old t-shirt. It was pretty straight forward to do and actually looks okay!

I made the first option in the YouTube video, think they are more comfortable and easier to breathe through than the pleats:

I got the pattern from here, and made mine in the teenage size as it fits better:

Not on the high street have some nice Liberty fabric ones, but I needed to make 8 for party bag gifts +3 for us + 3 for friends, so decided to make my own, as otherwise too £££££. Also, it meant I could make three different patterns and sizes to fit.
