Cyberdog has some funky options - was tempted, but dd made me one out of some cute left over fabric printed with fruit.

WutheringTights · 14/07/2020 18:20

I got mine from these guys. It's a small business too so happy to support them.

A pack of 3 various patterned masks is £12.95 from Gap.
Also I bought 2 masks from Accessorize £5 each - one is pink, one is light grey, you can also get leopard print.

AnnaNimmity · 14/07/2020 18:23

I got mine from Liberty because I'm a ponce. They're nice though.

AnnaNimmity · 14/07/2020 18:26

you can get a packet of 8 from Gap, but I haven't managed to get hold of them yet - they're mixed size and look good.

adidas do them for the teens?

Larach · 14/07/2020 19:10

Plumo Lovely colours - linen. Also, the elastic is very silky and soft on the ears.

Ginfordinner · 14/07/2020 19:17

As a glasses wearer I couldn't care less how stylish my mask is as long as my glasses don't steam up and I can breathe.

This is very much a first world issue.

goodthanks · 14/07/2020 19:25

Ours are Plumo too and look lovely but are very stuffy. They also lost part of our initial order and were a complete pain to chase, wouldn't recommend.

foobio · 14/07/2020 19:27

For stylish, try these Liberty prints from Deakin & Blue www.deakinandblue.com/collections/limited-edition-reusable-liberty-print-face-masks

Zinnia · 14/07/2020 19:28

Baukjen - there are non-profit ones which come in mixed sizes and more expensive ones where you choose the design/size.

As a fellow glasses wearer I would love one that doesn't steam mine up! Yes it's a first world problem up to a point but some masks are more effective than others: useful Guardian article here. Triple layered as a minimum is the WHO recommendation. Paisie also do good (and pretty) ones into which you can insert your own filter.

foobio · 14/07/2020 19:29

For cool (depending on your interpretation!!) I thought these animal faces look funny from Chessington shop.chessington.com/products/meerkat-face-masks

Coniferhedge · 14/07/2020 19:35

Gail Myerscough has some cool designs.

I’m just using plain black mask - they’re the same type as the generic blue masks so offer the same protection whilst suiting my my style better.

Might consider buying some white ones too, but I’m not going to invest much effort or money into masks. Patterned ones wouldn’t suit my dress sense.

DS and I have bought 2 each of these
I went for floral and small heart designs

ellaandme.co.uk/products/seeitsafe-x-static-face-mask (Support a British company that manufactures here, they normally make underwear)

Ineedtobecalm · 14/07/2020 20:03

It is a first world problem but I'm thinking I'll try and coordinate with my outfits. I think it's better to make the most of it and cheerfully wear one rather than moan. eBay are selling some where the sales raise money for charity.

JofraArchersFastestBall · 14/07/2020 20:18

Lots of people are making them and selling on Instagram or Etsy. It's nice to support small, local business and means you can ask for a size and fabric to suit you. It's a bit more expensive - I paid £6 each from a seller on Instagram who is local to me, ( instagram.com/morfil_glas?igshid=11g8vmh5vbnw2 ) but I think the design is fairly standard and loads of independent businesses are selling similar.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/07/2020 20:22

They are very cheap and easy to make, even without a sewing one. I've used - am entirely without any skills, but they've come out fine.

goose1964 · 14/07/2020 20:42

For non fogging up glasses I recommend these www.myoddballs.com/products/copy-of-4-x-face-coverings-bold-bundle, they do come in different collection some plain some patterned.

Sadik · 14/07/2020 20:43

"As a fellow glasses wearer I would love one that doesn't steam mine up!"
The masks dd made are glasses-friendly - they come quite high up, & have a soft wire in the top that moulds over the bridge of your nose & seals. Your glasses then sit on top of the mask, and don't steam up.

It definitely works, though I find as a some-times contact lens wearer, they do tend to creep up into my field of vision if I'm not wearing my glasses. (I do also have a funny shaped sort of bumpy nose, which I don't think helps!)

These very cool cotton snakeskin print ones - I've just received mine, they are fab. Delivery was pretty quick too.

Where are you getting these please?

Ive done the same, used the belt fabric to make a few masks to match my dresses
Bananabixfloof · 14/07/2020 20:59

Redbubble are doing masks at the moment. Bit pricey but they are soft.
As an aside I've also bought bandanas, bought so I could breathe easier and hopefully not panic as I have asthma. Also bought neck gaiters for winter and DP.

All from etsy/amazon/Ebay. All pretty cheap except the redbubble masks.

WhoWants2Know · 14/07/2020 21:00

I have seen a few that seem to fit loosely at the bottom more like a veil, and I'd like to give those a try.
