She is starting to get small pimples on her nose occasionally, what would you recommend to cleanse her face? She has been using Simple soap and water

Keep at that. Water is all that's needed really. Pimples are just a normal part of growing up.

In my teeens (30 years ago) I used Clean&Clear face wash which I was quite happy with.

There are probably 'better' products (more eco, more gentle/natural) but the gritty C&C in the purple and turquoise tube was good by me at the time.

Dd (9) uses Cetaphil. She had started to get a few pimples and little blackheads and its completely cleared her skin up back to the baby skin she had before. It's really really mild. Soap can be quite harsh and drying and likely to make any oil control problems worse.

@XiCi which Cetaphil one was it you used? I need something for my similar age DD.

XiCi · 14/07/2020 08:35

PawFives it's the Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser. I think at that age they just need something mild with the correct PH to remove surface oil and dirt. Most of the stuff formulated for teen skin is way too harsh and strips the skin.

Thanks, I’ll look at cetaphil, it sounds good.
Thanks for all the replies

Thanks @XiCi will give it a try

Does she use any moisturiser? It may be that her skin is little dry after a wash and the spots are forming to produce more oil and make it less dry.

I’d just use a foaming wash. If they start leaving little red marks that don’t fade straightaway see the dr because that’s scarring
