They’ve recently changed their Sparks card system, it’s offers instead of points now.

On their app, they gave me a £5 voucher for a home/beauty/clothing purchase, and a few offers for 10% off a food item.

I also had a freebie for a pack of biscuits (rrp £3). What did you get?👀

Just a tote. I feel robbed.

TBHno · 13/07/2020 01:13

Free tote Sad

I've never been offered a card before today. I've spent hundreds in the last couple of weeks so annoyed no one told me the card existed. Even more annoyed that they wouldn't scan it with today's purchases.

Looking forward to getting some freebies though. They told me I get a free tote the first time I use the card.

Thank you for reminding me!
Just bought a couple of things and used my £20 and £5 off - feel like I’m getting a real present - even though I’m paying the delivery 😂

barbrahunter · 13/07/2020 08:01

I just downloaded the app and found £20 off and £5 off yay! It wasn't on the site on my laptop...

oh and the tote!

BarbaraofSeville · 13/07/2020 08:29

I got a £20 voucher, a £5 voucher and a free Tote bag. I had about 60000 points IIRC. Buy some clothes there and maybe about £20-40 pm in the food hall.

I thought there was a catch at first, but can't see one. I'm going to put the £20 towards some basic black work trousers - I need to look smartish for site visits but often end up walking round dirty factories, so don't wear proper nice clothes, so need something machine washable but wouldn't be a disaster if it got ruined and they're usually around £20-25 I think.

Then some face cream or similar with the £5 voucher.

Sooverthemill · 13/07/2020 11:28

I'm a bit pissed off because now it seems to be confined to in store offers only. I live nowhere near a store and never ever go to one ( if you don't count the ones inside hospitals). It's not a big deal but I'm currently shielding and don't anticipate changing my shopping habits post covid as I they haven't changed during Covid. It's very ablest and doesn't consider the needs of the whole of the population

BarbaraofSeville · 13/07/2020 11:37

It's probably aimed at getting people back into the shops and spending more than the voucher is worth, because let's face it, it's not going to do M&S any good if we all take our 'free' pair of trousers or whatever we choose to buy and not buy anything else is it?

But I agree that it's unfair to people who can't get to the shops, especially if due to health or disability, so perhaps an email to them pointing this out would be worthwhile and you never know, they might be able to convert it to online for people in your circumstances?

mintich · 13/07/2020 11:42

£10 off and free tote! Thanks for telling us, I had no idea!

Mightymurphy · 13/07/2020 12:25

£10 off clothing, beauty or homeware

20% off cookies.

20% off crisps

RustyBear · 13/07/2020 12:32

£5 and £20 vouchers, free tote bag if I go in store (which I won't be, not yet, anyway) You can combine the two vouchers, so I got a nice pair of jeans for £4 + postage

bluebeck · 13/07/2020 12:32

£20 voucher
£5 voucher
Tote bag
Money off ready meals
Free side dish with meal deal

KensalGreen · 13/07/2020 12:41

I’ve logged into the app but just the tote bag for me! Disappointing as I spent quite a bit on clothes and beauty last month

Mnhealth202020 · 13/07/2020 12:54

Seems like they did a good job with personalising the offers! There’s a wide range.

Used my voucher on an Origins face mask (drink up intensive). It’s a great product, leaves my skin soft, plump and glowing.

Didn’t redeem the free tote as I wouldn’t use it. Did redeem my (random) free biscuits, ended up crashing the till😂 They’re not really my thing, and they gave me a giant 450g pack too, so I dropped them off at my store’s food donation trolley.

£5 and a tote here, not too bad!
