I had really very puffy, itchy swollen and dry eyelids. I was given a steroid cream and zerobase moisturiser to clear it up. They are much better than they were but still not 100%. They look really wrinkled and scaly still - making me look much older than my 36 years!!
Can anyone recommend something topical/over the counter to help please??

Hi @Ethelfleda I feel your pain. I had the same as you and at one point t the doctors were prescribing me athletes foot cream as nothing would get rid and they thought it might be fungal! They finally prescribed me Aveeno moisturising cream which worked a treat. But of a strange thing to put on your eyelids but worth it. Hope you manage to get it sorted x

I think skin takes six weeks to totally renew. How long has it been? It may be just about to slough it's last traumatised layer and look lovely again!

Unless the original irritant is still about?

There was a thread on here a little while ago where someone had itchy, scaly, flakey, sore eyelids and they came looking for advice. Someone recommended Bepanthen baby cream and a few others agreed. I think it worked! I've remembered it because I've had the same issue too and going to try it next time! Let us know if someone works

My mum had this quite bad, and from memory, she ditched all her usual face creams and used just Neal's Yard rose balm until it cleared up.

I second @Nettersrunboulder86 I've always found the only thing that clears up mine (on neck though) is mixing my steroid cream with aveeno moisturising cream, don't know if you're meant to do it (but don't see why not) but I mix them together in my hand and use on the areas

Just checked and my last GP ‘appointment’ (over the phone) was 4th June and started steroid cream a few days later when I was able to pick it up from the pharmacy
